You know, I'd rather Jefferies be on the team than not, but if they don't match the offer sheet from the Knicks, they'll survive without him, he was going to lost minutes this year to Songaila anyway.

I'd like to think they could but they still have to beat Miami, which they haven't been able to do since the division was formed.

Washington Wizards Starting Lineup
PG Antonio Daniels- A very good PG SG Gilbert Arenas- No brainer SF Caron Butler- For now PF Antawn Jameson- Anybody else? C Brendan Haywood- see SG and SF Bench Having Darius Songalia and Etan Thomas puts some bodies up front. Deshawn Stevenson provides some depth off of the bench. Good team but maybe needs some better backups.

Well, they also have Deshawn Stevenson now, plus Blanche (am I spelling his name right?) who was playing great over the summer, the Ukrainian who also looked good, Peter John Ramos didn't look too inept playing against the US on Thursday, and the coaching staff is pretty high Donell Taylor. They've got a talented team there, hopefully it'll come together. I suppose Jared Jefferies is gone now though, too bad.

Wizards Starting Lineup
PG Gilbert Arenas SG DeShawn Stevenson SF Caron Butler PF Antawn Jamison C Brendan Haywood
I really like this lineup. With Hayes hopefully healthy, Blatche and Taylor improving, and Etan Thomas contributing, there's no way the Wizards miss the playoffs this year. Now gogo, said to start Daniels and Thomas. That wouldn't be a good idea. Daniels' best years as been as a resevre plus he's better off the bench because he more of a combo guard. You come make a statement for starting Thomas over Haywood but Haywood is....7 foot?

Yeah, Haywood's just at 7 feet. They've got a lot of combinations to work with this season, I'm thinking Songaila might start and have Stevenson come off the bench, but who really knows at this point. Also, does anyone know if the Ukrainian is going to be playing this season?

Deshawn wasn't signed until after my post sorry will update

To me the wizzards seem a bit to small, maybe make a trade for some hight. A few teams have an abundance of PF out thier and this team looks to be lacking a few.
