I was standing next to Andrew Bogut at a nightclub last night.
Dunno why I said this.. just thought it would be interesting to say.

Why the hell would I do that? I am Australian.
The club was in Melbourne, his hometown.

you'd think so wouldn't you...but he's really not that popular.
In Australia AFL football players are the most popular sportsmen who people easily recognise. Well, I speak for Melbourne anyway.

But heads inevitably do turn when a 7 foot man walks into a nightclub.

Bogut is a loud mouthed chuckle head. I'm sure the former Australian players, especially Longly, appreciated his comments in the media before he had even played an NBA game.

two words: michael jordan

but hey, don't get me wrong... I am appreciative of everything that big Luc did for Australian basketball to put us on the map.

Our next big thing is apparently going to be a guy called Brad Newley. he plays in our national league. He's pretty athletic but real skinny. Has anyone in the states heard about him yet?

Australian Basketball is laughable, All Australian athletes are. I wouldn't mind visiting the outback of Australia. But I wouldn't be stuck in one of those gay citys like Sydney and Melbourne.

The guys who play Australian Rules (not rugby) are very impressive athletes. I dare say some of the best in the world. They certiantly put most ballers to shame, and thats a fact.

Chinese basketball is a joke... I was watching CBA the other day and they play like highschool kids. Maybe this is why Wang Zhizhi was dominant back in the days when he played for China.

By the way, it's W@ng Zhizhi... Shame on you for censoring his last name!

I play (well actually, played) for Darebin for the last 4 years.
Who are you and who do you play for?
And who is this kid you are talking about?
