the lakers get no substance in this trade, just a bunch of players with potential, and i think kobe would be hesitant to do something like this when they after the trade wouldn't have enough talent to contend

They can't contend now anyway. Which is why this trade is over before it begins.

I think if they still had Iverson and Webber, they could've made a package to get Kobe. Webber would've been in his final year, right? Something like a package of Webber and Iggy for Kobe.

AI and Kobe in the backcourt? Philly might need about three balls to make them happy, but it's a terribly dangerous combination.

Philly would have to include Iguodala in any trade for Kobe.
