I think juwan would still be a an ok backup for alot of halfcourt teams, he can defend a little and still has a bit of a jumper

yes i know there is.. he still has lots of years left in his bad contract..its hard to move a former all star whose game has awfully slumped.. i cant believe miami offered him that amount of money in that offseason trade...he's already lost his former all star self way back then

2 big buyouts during the same offseason is highly unlikely, even if mchale is your gm, and when miami acquired walker, your right they didn't need to overhaul the roster, but walker was much more valuable then he is now, and he was a very important piece in the heat's championship puzzle

god i hope walker doesnt go to boston if he is bought out.. he would be terrible for them. you would think that pierce would be sick of him by now. he took so many disgusting shots when he was with pierce back in the day

that would definitely be the celtics dream lineup, they'd be more than happy to get one in reality though

He's at the twilight of his career so I have a feeling he'll hook up for the veteran's minimum with a legit championship contender in either conference. My bets are:

1. BOSTON. Reliable points-per-minute production, low-risk for injury, veteran experience and confidence at a bargain price. The Cetics also do not have that much left in their budget. So, on a "needs-basis" and practicality, Howard would be the "bang-for-the-buck". He could be the main back-up for Garnett or play alongside him at certain times of the game as the 2nd back-up center.

2. DALLAS. Back to the Lone Star State. Great pick-up as a back-up for Nowitzki, or play with him whenever Nowitzki swtiches to center against teams with no serious low-post threat. Adds more depth to an already deep bench for a price that won't be too steep. He is also more-or-less familiar with the Avery Johnson system because he played for Dallas under Don Nelson - who bequeath his team to Avery.

3. DETROIT. Veteran laden team hungry to win the NBA title. In the State where he first made a name for himself. Sounds perfect for Juwan Howard.
