Jason, new york: Ben- So how will this year's event be different from last year or will it just be bigger and better?
Ben Gordon: This year will be similar but some differnces. This year will be just in Harvey Park where last year we split it into two parks. We'll have pony rides and all that stuff like last year. The theme is the Old vs. The New. We'll have guys from older guys from around Mt. Vernon versus some of the young and upcmoing. This year will focus on the local coomunity as last year we had players from Harlem.
JJ (Denver): Hey Ben, you're going to beat Julius Hodge on your day saturday right?
Ben Gordon: Actually, Julius will not bring a team. That was the team from Harlem. Maybe in the future he can come back.
MJ, Copenhagen, Denmark: Hey Ben. I've been wondering, what part of your game you work the most on during the off-season? Good luck next year.
Ben Gordon: This offseason, I've been working on a mid-range game. A lot of young guys are shooting the 3 or going to the hole for a dunk or contested sgot. But this season, I am working on a mid-range game to make it harder to guard me.
Tim, Chicago: Whats it like now knowing that you can now press up on your man now that Big Ben in behind you?
Ben Gordon: A good feeling. I will play "d" the same press my guy but now when there is a breakdown we have some big athletci guys to protect the basket. And I think Tyrus will suprise a lot of people back there.
Tommy (McHenry): Do you talk to any of the guys during the summer and if you do how often.
Ben Gordon: I talk to a few of the guys. Everbody is scattered around at home or vacation. But now that I am back in Chicago, I communicate with them more often.
keane(australia): how does it feel to equally hold an nba record for hitting 9 straight 3 pointers and when you were upto 8 in a row did you know that one more 3 would tie the nba record?
Ben Gordon: It was great. It felt very special to be a part of NBA history. But when I was at eight, I did not know. I found out after the game. I was in the midst of the game unaware and it just happened.
Chris Elzizabethown, Ky: Hi Ben how is it playing for Scott Skiles?
Ben Gordon: It's a good expereince. He holds his players accountable for everything. You have to work and earn your minutes, so I like playing for him.
Johnny D. Bomb, Emporia: First, I just wanted to say that I can't wait to see the club play out at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence for the preseason game. What do you consider to be your most memorable moment as a member of the Bulls?
Ben Gordon: My first playoff game as a rookie. We played at home versus the Wizards and it had been a few years since the Bulls had made it. I scored 30 points, so that is my most memorable moment.
DeAngelo(Alexandria,VA): hey ben,real big fan,i was just wondering,do u think with all the off season moves like ben,tyrus thomas,and brown coming in can take u deep into the playoffs?
Ben Gordon: I think we have become a way better team on paper but its about chemistery. I'll have a beter feel once we start playing together. We got better in every area. We will get past the first round, i think, and after that who knows what can happen.
Steve, chicago: What made you want to part take in this event?
Ben Gordon: It's an event for the community. It's a great when someone can make it out and contribute in a positive way. I want to do this every year. Kids can come out and enjoy themselves in the summer. Every year, I want to make it better. Make it bigger as well and get more NBA players to participate.
