I will laugh when the Lakers miss the playoffs thanks to the improvements/health of Houston, New Orleans, and Utah.

as much as i would laugh too, it won't happen, you seem to be forgetting one thing NO and UTAH doesn't have------------kobe, although houston will be much better than both teams in LA

Wtf. The Clippers are soooo much better. That is, if the Maggette trade doesn't go through..

What position are the Clippers better at, except for obviously, SG?

Uh..Clippers...Second round..almost beat the team that left the Lakers on their asses after they were so confident they would win that series up 3-1. Wait and see...

The two teams were separated by two wins last season (47-45, Clips).  I don't see one being a whole lot better than the other.

The Clippers are deeper, I'll grant you that.  Bryant and Odom are a stronger 1-2 punch than even Brand and Cassell, and that makes up some of the difference.

Whose going to step in for Kobe when he's gone? Brand is younger than Kobe btw. Clippers seem to be a lot further along with Shaun improving game by game. If Maggette can stay healthy longer and get more aggressive, this team will be impressive.

Clippers have better young talent at the moment in Shaun Livingstong and Chris Kaman.
