I don't want them to win now.
But I need the Heat to get out of the freaking lottery so the Wolves can get that pick too.
The team needs a big, and it needs a PG...

Do you really want Miami's pick this year? Id rather have it 3-4 years from now... this year they can't get getter than a 15 pick from Miami.
Next year that number goes down to 11, the year after 7, and the year after that its unprotected. Miami looks like its about to start a rebuilding phase so it could very well happen that Wolves don't see that pick for a while.

I 100% understand your point...
I just think that the team is two players away, and those two players coming here ASAP would be nice.
I don't want to see this team lose 145 games over the next two seasons.

I think one if not two of those players need to be through free agency or a trade. The Wolves have an uphill battle enticing free agents because of the market, so a higher draft pick is a great way to get a good trade.
We are going to need some NBA-ready players that can finish games, chances are the 15th pick wouldn't be that player.
For a PG, I would love to snare Chris Paul somehow. I'm a little unclear about his status. One source said he signed an extension, another said he hasn't.

I think that NO picked up his option which ties him up till after the 09 season. NO would be stupid to let him go, I think he will want to stay too, they are playoff bound this year imo.
The next Chris Paul could definately be in this years draft, there are plenty of PGs. But you never know how players will translate to the NBA.

As for the young players in the NBA... Jose Calderon would be someone I would like to see in a Wolves uniform.
But Chris Paul is signed in NOLA, and he ain't going anywhere.
you have a Chris Paul type in Rose
an Iverson type in Mayo
Sean Kemp in his prime with Beasley
and a Zylgaskus type center in Hibbert.
But I like Collison as well at PG.
But this is a WEAK DRAFT so it would be nice to have two picks next year and two picks in 2009
