the guy is just acting moster or being for real?

19ppg 14.5rpg 2.7 bpg 50%FG

and the thing is that he puts these numbers almost every game, he had just 3-4 games with 10-14 points and the rest r just rock solid.

maybe he will deserve his HUGE contract afterall  Tongue

we really don't know until brand is back, he could just be doing this because brand's gone

and even if he was for real it means nothing if he doesn't maintain it after brands return

he is alot fitter than ive ever seen him before, he played in the summer league and now hes playing 39 mins a game.
if he can maintain this effort, he and brand could give clippers a very fast late push for playoffs.
hes only 25, so clippers should still get another 4 years of solid Kaman at center.

and 14.1 rebounds per game is crazy, but there really isnt any other rebounders on the team, so its abit over highlighted.

well, since brand is out somebody has to account for those rebounds, and it won't be tim thomas, so im not at all surprised his rebounding numbers went way up

Yes it his breakout season he has proved a huge success without brand there, because he is takin most of the shots and gettin most of the rebounds which brand would get.

Damn, those are crazy numbers...
I heard people say that he was nervous about living up to his contract last year and therefore played poorly and I just thought 'yea right, he's just slacking off', but maybe it really was the case.

He's not that athletic, but his IQ's decent.  He can work his magic in the paint with either hand as he's extremely effective.  His post game increases every season & it's no surprise that he's getting many boards because of Mr. 20-10 Consistency's out.  He has shouldered the burden which many people felt would be overbearing for the Clippers as he's made them a somewhat competitive squad.  He'll keep the intensity up, but let's see if guys like Mobley, Cassell & Maggette will shine in the spotlight while Brand's gone.

Kaman really roughed Yao up the other night.

it looks like Kaman's worked on his face up game and ball handling... even added an up and under dunk.

he looks good.  maybe brand is expendable.  i mean, we have to be realist.  brand can opt to leave the clippers... why wouldn't he do that?

Clips could come out winners in all of this.  maybe draft derrick rose and build around rose, kaman, and thornton.
