The day they realize that Troy Murphy is as soft as butter, and realize that Dunleavy is absolute money on making plays.

Right now it seems that they continue to like Murphy and more and more wanna trade Dunleavy.  If you look at the Western Conference POWER Forwards... I think just about all of them, including the bench players slobber at the mouth in order to get their chance to play against Troy.  He is soft in the paint.  Most of his rebounds are wack and meaningless.  Rarely an offensive or in the clutch.  His D is absolutely god awful, and its slowing down the Warriors massively, because they lack a post presense in the baddest way.

Whats happening is, there is no post presense, therefor, guys are standing around waiting for the ball.  Then jacking up shots....  they cant get to the hole at all with only Adonal Foyle in there.  No one in the league I bet also, wants Troy.

Result:  We will not make the playoffs again.  We'll still be playing in shitty old Oakland Collesium.  They will still think Jason Richardson is the answer. lol.

Do you know what's sad? The team has a better record when Mike Dunleavy is starting power forward vs Troy Murphy starting power forward.

Can anyone name a power forward that runs the floor slower than Troy? can anyone name a power forward that Troy is quicker than? Can anyone name a power forward that has a worse post game than Troy Murphy? Troy Murphy is even forced to play extremely poor defense because he doesn’t have the athleticism or skills to play hard and stay out of foul trouble.

Check out 82games.com. Every player on the team plays worse when they play with Troy Murphy. When Troy Murphy is on the floor the team gets out scored and when he is off the team outscores the opponent. Also, he's the only starter in the NBA to have a negative +/- every year the last 4 years... PATHETIC!

Not only does Troy Murphy suck, but he will be averaging over 10 million a year the rest of his contract!

Also if anyone thinks J-Rich is the answer they are insane. The guy doesn't have the defense or the ball handling skills to be "the answer".

I still think the Warriors have one of the best back courts but J-Rich is over rated by most Warriors fans.

Exactly why I was very excited when Al Harrington talks came about.  Though we would have to lose Dunleavy ( shame ), its a  price they should pay.  Diogu will eventually replace Troy ( WAY WAY WAY more physical ) and Harrington will occupy the 3.  That will be a very very good team, with a chance at playoffs ATLEAST.

Just need to keep Baron healthy and Troy off the floor.

If Murphy stays (is not traded) my prediction is that he will do pretty good under Nelson for the simple reason that Nelson will exploit his strengths and find a way to mask his weaknesses which is what he is good at. In spite of a number of attacks on Murphy, he may be the best outside shooter at the 4 position outside of Dirk (who just really became a legitimate 4)  and one of the few double-double players in the NBA (how many do we have about 5 maybe?). The problem with the Warriors low post presence has always has been at the center position. You can't blame the power forward for this (especially when he averages about 10 boards a game). Unless you're a superstar such as a Garnett or a Duncan or Nowitski, you won't dominate the boards for your team without a true center (one of the reasons the Warriors drafted two 7 footers). As a matter of fact, if I recall at the end of the season Murphy played those 3 superstar players pretty well if I'm not mistaken. Those of you who remember Murphy his first season knows that he banged pretty good (broken nose banging with Dale Davis) and held his own physically. He seemed to get soft in recent years particularly last year when the Warriors during the previous year wanted him to work on his 3 point shooting. I believe he can reclaim some of his toughness this season if he puts his mind to it especially with a little prodding from Nelson. Hopefully he bulked up a little more this season.
As for Dunleavy although you might disagree with me, he is almost an ideal Don Nelson type player who is smart with the ability to play point forward and run the floor in addition to being able to do spot up shooting. I think he can possibly do very well under Nelson's tutelage. Of course I don't like Nelson personally, but I guess I have to go along with the program since there is nothing I can do about it. Regarding Diogu, although I like his game (particularly low post) I really do not think he will ever be a great player in the NBA simply for the reason that he's too small in my opinion. Many have compared him to a smaller Elton Brand (who's a great player) but at an inch or so smaller, I just think that he will be unable defensively to handle some of the bigger power forwards (such as the ones mentioned in addition to others). I thiink that he could do well as a backup with Nelson getting him the right match ups. Whether he is able to be a starter and match up with some of the top 4's some day remains to be seen in my opinion. One of the problems in figuring out the Warriors right now (and is a big one) is that it's hard to do because I don't think we really know who's going to be there during the start of the season and who's not. I'm not even sure if the Warriors really know right now and what makes it even more difficult is is the coaching change since we really don't know what impact Nelson will have (if any) on personnel decisions. If we knew for sure who is going to be there, it would be much easier I think to speculate on what they are going to do.
