http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=987~429~1717~11~976~2763~1051~3217~1781~2445~901&teams=10~10~10~18~17~17~17~23~17~17~17&te=&cash=17:18

Picks: 1st rounder from Houston to NJ, cash from NY to NJ, 2nd rounder from Sacramento to NJ. Carl Landry was the 31st pick and the Kings' PF's suck so it makes sense for them.

Bonzi Wells: When he's allowed to be traded again, the Nets move him to the Bobcats for a 2nd rounder and cash considerations as part of the Nets' rebuilding mode. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=901&teams=30&te=&cash=10:30

Kidd/Francis/Brooks
Francis/McGrady/Brooks
McGrady/Hayes/Jeffries
Jeffries/Collins/Hayes
Yao/Mutombo/Collins

James/Williams/Head
Carter/Wright/Snyder
Jefferson/Battier/Nachbar (expiring contract so Battier will get more minutes next year)
Scola/Williams/Allen
Krstic/Magloire/Boone
Incoming value: 18.1 M
Outgoing value: 25.83 M
Money gained after Snyder isn't resigned and Bonzi's sent to Charlotte: 12.4 M + whatever amount Charlotte and NY agree to send

Lol, the Rockets have no depth, and what do you think the Nets will do with all those contracts on their roster in mid-season?

The Nets would have 18 contracts after the trade. After the Bonzi trade they'd have 17. So the two guys who can be released are Eddie Gill and Darrell Armstrong.

Why would Houston send Carl Landry to Sacramanto?

The trade wouldn't have worked otherwise because there'd be too much money going to Houston. Cheesy

This trade is far too convoluted.  The nets would basically get the rocket's bench, which has thus far proven to be terrible.

The rockets love landry and think he's going to be great (which he is), so he's not going anywhere.

I can see Isaiah Thomas wanting Alston, because Thomas likes guys whose egos are bigger than their games...

I just don't see any team getting better in this deal, just change for the sake of change.

Come on now, the Rockets get better. They just f.uck up their future. Nets get a ton of cap space, picks and... well yea they're getting crap. The Knicks are one of the few teams that could use Alston with both Marbury and Robinson in Isiah's doghouse.

ha this'd be an amazing trade for houston.  they get a leader in jason kidd, and this is probably the best trio in the NBA.  can compete with Boston's, San Antonio's, and Phoenix's.

Attention everyone! Shocked  I calculated the wrong figures so the Nets would be saving an irresistible 12.4 M plus whatever amount the Knicks and Kings agree to send. Oh and the Rockets sign Webber to a minimum contract. That is all. I'm a genius.

Yup, 12 players. Novak's the 12th guy. But anyway, they sign Webber.

Against teams with decent offensive PF's
Kidd/Francis/Brooks
Francis/McGrady/Brooks
McGrady/Hayes/Jeffries
Jeffries/Webber/Hayes
Yao/Mutombo/Collins

Otherwise Francis comes off the bench
Kidd/Francis/Brooks
McGrady/Francis/Brooks
Jeffries/McGrady/Hayes
Webber/Hayes/Collins
Yao/Mutombo/Collins
Incoming value: 31.5 M
Outgoing value: 25.4 M

Yup, 12 players when they sign Webber.

So it's impossible. They can't sign Webber while they have 15 players, because the max DURING the season is 15. They can't also trade down to 11, even if the next minute they sign Webber no12, because they can't have legally only 11 players on the roster for a single milisecond, let alone a couple of hours. Orlando had to waive Bo Outlaw before they acquired Cook and Evans. Same here, Webber can be signed only after the trade, so the trade is impossible because it leaves the Rockets with 11 players. No no, they'll have 12 players even before they sign Webber. Novak's the 12th guy. Give me some time to edit my posts dude.
