Detroit Free Press -
Quote
The Pistons traded center Nazr Mohammed to Charlotte on Friday and also waived forward Ronald Dupree.

The Pistons acquired center Primoz Brezec and forward Walter Herrmann in exchange for Mohammed, who appeared in every game this season except for Wednesday in Houston.

“We are pleased to welcome Primoz and Walter to the Pistons organization and we feel they will help add depth to our front court positions,” Pistons president of basketball operations Joe Dumars said. “We appreciate hard work and professionalism that Nazr and Ronald both displayed during their time here in Detroit and we wish both of them well.”

Pistons save money since Brezec and Herrmann both have expiring contracts and the Bobcats have so much cap space that they can take on Nazr's 4 year contract. Brezec will be a disgrace to Pistons' hard nosed brand of basketball. But it's still an OK trade since he'll be gone next year. Bobcats add toughness.

Yeah, Hermann just hasn't had the chance to play this year like he did last year. I'm thinking a change of scenery will be good for him.

it just so that the pistons have cap next year, but nazr actually was doin ok this year, espically on the reboundin end which we have struggled at times.

Nazr will help the bobcats as he can rebound which brezec or hollin's couldnt do.

The pistons might waives brezec or he can become the new darko"the human victory cigar".

Hermann just adds a solid outside shooter with size and is an ok defender.

If we waive brezec dont be suprised to see him re-signed in a few weeks

Great trade for the Pistons. Hermann will make a good backup for Prince and could play PF if needed. He hasn't been playing like he did last year. But last year he showed what he was capable of. Now Brezec was a surprise seeing as the Bobcats are already thin up front. Brezec gives the Pistons another big man. Nazr wasn't a good fit or signing, Brezec might do well for the Pistons. Charlotte picks up a good rebounder. Someone who can help Okafor on the boards.

I think Detroit wins this trade by a mile financially. Nazr, while needed in Charlotte is overpaid badly. Pistons could care less about Brezec, he might be even waived. Herrmann on the other hand is a very good pickup.

Herman's game resembles Delfino's game and Delfino didn't play much for them. Good move for the Pistons, they got rid of Nazr's awful contract. They'll probably cut Brezec and sign C-Webb.
