-Blazers pick up Kidd
- Nets get rid of Carter but pick up Walker..... still save 5 Mill a year and shed a year off the contract
- NJ will have the cash left over this offseason to pursue a big time FA or RFA.
- Minnessota is in rebuilding mode maybe Carter and Al Jeff's can create something
- NJ might need a point guard thrown in somewhere

As nice as it looks in theory for the Blazers, that would mean writing off this promising developmental year (ie. a chance at playoff experience) by fielding Channing Frye and Josh McRoberts at center.

Przybilla is just too important to the Blazers right now. He's about all we have providing any sort of interior defence.

One year of Kidd/Roy/Webster/Aldridge/Oden wouldn't be enough. Kidd is on the totally wrong timeline for the Blazers.

I agree with Kiwi, as much as I like it for the T-Wolves. Przybilla would be the perfect compliment to Big Al Jefferson, while Carter could create a good inside-outside game with him.

A lineup of Foye/Carter/Beasley/Jefferson/Przybilla is too good to be true.

Oh, and Antoine Walker has only 2 years left, so it's damn good for the Nets if they're up to rebuilding. Two years of his contract are team options bound not to be picked up. Smiley

On a side note, ESPN Trade Machine can be deceiving, because they do not count Player Options into the length of the contract (Rasho looks like an expiring, but he has a 8 million player option on the enxt year) while they do count team-options. Walker has 2 years left actually, which means that compared with LaFrentz and Ratliff, NJ would get 12 million off the cap this season and 20 million off the cap next season. But it's still 2 years of suckage nonetheless.

I really don't think Rod Thorn would make it home the day he signs this thing
