Only thing people mayy whine about is Miami downgrades by trading Haslem and getting Darko on the way back.
Yup!
I just do not understand this one for Miami.
They give up nearly 16 million in expiring and the only other real decent (excluding marion and wade) player for a slightly more productive PG and a fairly crappy back up big man.
Breaking down Miami-
What they get:
Mike Bibby - 13.2 REB: 3.9 AST: 5.2
Darko Milicic - 6.8 REB: 5.9 AST: 1.0
What they give:
Jason Williams - PTS: 8.8 REB: 2.1 AST: 4.8 (9 mill expiring)
Ricky Davis - PTS: 13.5 REB: 4.2 AST: 2.9 (6.8 mill expiring)
Udonis Haslem - PTS: 12.1 REB: 9.3 AST: 1.5 (only 6 mill contract)
this is a Fugly trade for Miami no matter how you look at it.
Kind of begs the question, why bother with sac if you are miami and Memphis? If memphis is looking for expirings, picks, youth and Miami is looking to get better... seems to me like they could work something out involving miller + conley for 16 mill expiring, cook and a pick.
With Memphis getting what they want and miami ending up with a roster of conley-wade-miller-marion.
