also, Popovich better stop his crying about the Lakers trade now.  Presti and Carlisimo, former Spurs, gift wrapped Kurt Thomas for him.  no more tears, Popovich.

pardon?  the sonics got exactly what they seem to prize most out of this deal: draft picks.  Plus, you know, he was never that great to begin with.

They've signed Damon Stoudamire and now they got Kurt Thomas. I think with those 2 acquisitions, San Antonio is back in contention.

They were never out of contention, why does everyone think they were. They get healthy and they're still the best team in the NBA (and it sickens me to say this, I am not a fan). There is way too much Laker, Sun, and Celtic love on this forum!

kurt thomas is 6'9''.  tim duncan is 6'11''.  so is duncan going to stop masquerading as a PF now?

right on point, whine's about the lakers then gets thomas for essentially nothing, also keep in mind thomas is an expiring contract, pop has no room to complain now

I really don't understand you guys here.  He's 35, overpaid, and they gave up a draft pick to get him.  how is that comparable to the highway robbery of the gasol trade?

Good move. Kurt Thomas is the kind of player that Popovich cherishes in the system he has. Kurt is the kind of teammate that lifts up the game of Tim Duncan. Kurt is the prototypical San Antonio Spur - talented, quiet, tough, rough.

If Thomas stays healthy for the rest of the season, this was a good move.
