I was looking at the bulls roster on this website, and they have thomas listed at a C-F

Last year thomas as showed us that he can hold down the paint on Defence with his rebounding and blocked shots, so do you think if he bulks up with 20-30 more pounds he can become a center.....kind of like what ben wallace has done in his career? or is he better at playing the 3 or 4?

I think he could play center a few years down the road....if you look at the leauge now u have a lot more of the SF playing PF (marion, Odom, Nocioni, Tim Thomas) and a lot more PF playing C (Arare, Duncan, Howard)  -  You wont find many more Shaq like centers in the NBA

What do you think?

He's the backup C if anything. I wanna see him start at the 4. Ben Wallace is obviously the 5 for now at least.

I think Tyrus Thomas has the abiltity to play the 3,4 and 5. In college, he played mostly at the PF becuase of Glen "Big Baby" Davis, but I could see becoming a F/C later in his career.

Not at all this year. He won't be able to put on the weight needed to play center by the end of the season, and his style of play just really doesn't match the style that you really want a center to use. He still wants to play a small forward style or a Kevin Garnett type of power forward style.

he is too skinny and has too small of a frame to play center, he would get dominated, he needs to put on some weight and lift some weights before he could even think of playing center

If he puts on some weight, he might not be able to jump as high or run as fast as he can now... I don't think you should move him to C unless you're playing against a fast-break team (But for now, if the Bulls were to play against say, the Suns, I'd say play Big Ben at C and TT at PF).

That's a good point but they said the same thing about Chris Bosh. And what about former bull Tyson Chandler?(He's not a great example, but you get my point.)

He has potential to be a great power forward with ability to play on C or SF position for few minutes.

It would be pitty to use him as C too much. Let him do what he does the best!

Great point about Chris Bosh there, although he's also more of a PF type of player, but as for Tyson Chandler, he's a tall 7'1", and when you're that tall you're expected to be able to play center no matter what. Tyrus is barely over 6'8".

Bosh is lethal because of his mid range jump shot.
