the Young pick was excellent, we had NO capable bench scorers last year...and Dominic Mcguire looks like a pretty good pick as well, an athletic 4 man that can rebound and make plays (3.3 assists per game)....HOWEVER lol, i wouldve loved to see the Wiz get Sean Williams in the first and DJ Strawberry in the second but hey cant always get what you want

Sean Williams isnt a low post scorer though, hes a big man but he doesnt fit our need.  We need a big man that can make the easy baskets not a defensive minded big.  Nick Young was a way better pick and was one of the best value picks made in the draft.  Legitimate lottery player selected at 16. He could have easily went as high as 9.

they have arenas, butler, jamison, daniels all who can play in the sg positon. Strange pick to be honest

it actually works,

Arenas
Young/Daniels
Butler
Jamsion
Thomas

They just need more depth more depth at a positon other than SG.

Etan Thomas is pratically the same player block and board.

they took the best player available to them, according to their needs, they probably were against gambling on a big man out of the lottery

the wiz have NO post offense to speak of. this pick is a wash.

i'm mad at them , they needed a big man, cause all of their big man sucks.

they should have bargained for thaddeus young, or take a pf/c instead.

its not like young is going to get PT over arenas or butler.

I don't think the Bucks will be approaching the playoffs soon.

Washington, Toronto and Miami won't be better than the Bulls next season.

No, but he's the back-up for Butler and Stevenson, which is what the Wizards wanted going into this draft because Hayes was cutting it last season.  Thaddeus Young wouldn't have helped them this season (or the next couple of seasons for that matter), he's about as raw as any rookie was in this draft and there really weren't very many decent big men at this point in the draft that would've justified not taking a player with Nick Young's talent.  Besides they're high on guys like Blatche and Pesh who will help than more in the next couple of seasons than anyone they would've been able to get with the 16th pick.
