Will Okur turn into an All-Star in Utah?  He's been solid recently and has stayed relatively healthy.  If everyone else is healthy, this could be a good team.  Will Okur turn into a leader?  Compare him to another NBA player...Zydrunas Ilgauskas

No, not an All-Star. He's a good double double guy with good range on his shot but not an All-Star calibre player.

He only make the all-star team if Utah Has a great regular season if not ,there not in a big market so he will get passed by.

But he is a really good player , is a top 10 rebounder in the league and one of the best scorin center, he different to Z because Z is better scorin Inside while Okur has alot better range.

^^^^^^
They're both in the eastern confrence, Okur isn't. He's an all-star if the jazz are above fife hundred. He sort of reminds me of a poor mans Tim Duncan.

However, Okur will not be an all star for now. But if he could reach those stats from last season in one of the top teams in the league...

My prediction about him becoming an all-star:
It is simply not going to happen!

i think, for Okur, this season will point out whether being an allstar or not.
if he goes on improving his strenght and offensive rebounding, with effect of his primary rivals age problem in West Conference, he will be an allstar in coming 2-3 years. but its a must improving his skills for using them in the near future. not for today (for being an allstar). because its very hard to gain more vote or get more effiency point than duncan garnett... and first of all Jazz must contract with a good PF bench player. i think in season 2006/2007 he will be to forced playing position 4. which means decreasing posibility of being allstar.

With Yao injured (if he can't make the All-Star team), then I think Okur has a great shot at making the West squad in Vegas.  If Yao is playing though, I think Amare will get that remaining backup center spot.
