If the Suns made the O'Neal deal solely to have someone to counter Tim Duncan, why wouldn't the Spurs just set Duncan up from about 12-18 feet and let him draw O'Neal away from the paint consistently?  We all know Duncan has good range out to 18 feet or so, so why not nullify O'Neal that way?  (Duncan's already hit one from out there tonight - I expect at least two or three more.)

this is when the spurs miss a perimeter shooting center like nesterovic. he can draw shaq out with his range

thomas is a perimeter shooter but with amare down there it's juss gonna be too much for the spurs
