with drafting Mayo, trade McCants to Washington #18 or New Orleans #27 to try to pick up Hibbert or Lopez.

Nice thinking, but Camby is still the DPOY of the last season and has some serious game left in him. Plus Denver ai'nt stupid, they well know how much of a love-festival it would be for Minny to pair up Big Al and Marcus Camby.

They'll demand more for him. And Anthony Carter is not going anywhere, he's the perfect guy to put next to AI and 'Melo. A savvy vet, who doesn't demand the ball, and still can rack up 5-6apg as their starting PG.

What about:

'Toine, McCants, 31st pick
for
Camby, Atkins, 20th pick

Denver get a big expiring deal, a young gun to replace JR Smith as a spark off the bench (do you really believe Denver will sign JR to another long-term deal?) and get some compensation for trading their 1st rounder.  There's a crop of decent defensive big men available at the top of the 2nd round (Pekovic, Asik, Dorsey, Hardin, Jawai).

So, you ask; why would Minny take Atkins and his 2 year, 7 mill deal? He expires at the same time as Camby, Madsen and just when Troy Hudson goes off the books. Right before the 2010 offseason. Smiley So we're in time for the 'big time shopping'. He provides a steady vet presence at PG if anything. We can always buy him out. I mean, taking him is NOTHING when compared to getting the ideal partner for Big Al down low and the 20th pick! We can get a decent young big-man over there like Robin Lopez or Roy Hibbert you mentioned. After Camby-man is gone, the youngling will be ready to rip next to Big Al, Foye, Mayo.

jaric and al jefferson to the bulls
FOR
Luol Deng, Ben Gordon, bulls 2nd rd pick, 37th i believe? and the bulls 09  1st rd pick unprotected

and if u think we have too many guards we could subsitute gordon for drew gooden, he is a decent starting post player with a 7.5mil expiring contract.
or even take joakim noah from them, i think he could be a tyson chandler type player

That bulls idea was not good for the Wolves at all.

Cza-   that wasn't a bad move, but I'm not sure Denver does it.

Did you check to see if the numbers would match on ESPN because that seems to be a lot of money for the wolves to be taking in, and not giving nearly as much back.

Twoine is at 8.6 or so and McCants 2.6 or so

Camby's gotta be close to 10 million, and Atkins is 6.5 million or so.

No, Camby's deal is less than now, it's not going up.

Camby will be 8mill next season, 7.5mill after that.

Atkins is 3.4 next season.

Toine is 9.3.

9.3+2.6 = 11.9
8+3.4 = 11.4 + first rounder (around 1 mill)

So it's almost the same.

i love that idea...i wish it would happen.  Camby and Al Jeff my god that would be a great pair together.  Jeff doesn't mind giving up the ball when he has to and Camby wants to shoot!!!

PG- Foye, Atkins
SG- Mayo, Jaric
SF - Gomes, Brewer
PF- Jefferson, Smith (if we resign), Madsen
C- Camby, #20 draft pick

 Tongue

wow......

I freaking love Camby so if it would work I'm all for it.

With the 20th pick I could see them taking the other Lopez, or Hibbert.

Just a thought:

#3 and McCants to Sac for Kevin Martin and #12.  With the 12th pick we could grab Joe Alexander or Donte Greene and I still like the idea of packaging our 2nd round picks and moving back into the 1st round.

Foye/ Telfair
Martin/ Jaric/ Snyder
Alexander or Greene/ Brewer/ Gomes
Jefferson/ Smith
Hibbert or R. Lopez or Jawai/ Doleac/ Madsen

I dont like that trade scenario...K. Martin is good, but he is only a scorer that doesn't do much on the defensive end.  We would be better drafting Mayo who can score and play defense.
