Eric Gordon doesn't know how to guard anyone. He's Eddie House. Ha.

Trade down or take Mayo.

Why not DeAndre Jordan? A front court Jefferson-Jordan could be amazing!!

What about trading it along with Walker's expiring contract to MIL for Redd and Villanueva?  We could then trade our 2 2nd round picks along with McCants to move up and grab Hibbert or McGee or Speights.

Hibbert or Mcgee or Speights/ Richards/ Madsen
Jefferson/ Gomes/ Smith
Villanueva/ Brewer
Redd/ Jaric/ Snyder
Foye/ Telfair

I'm not sure if that is enough to get Redd but I like the idea.

Redd would be a great pick up for Minny. I would love that to happen.

not a bad idea, except for Redd's contract being bigger than his value as a shooter who neglects responsibility on defense.

I was so excited when the Wolves were in the top 3, then utterly dissappointed when they drew the third pick.  Sad

it was top 2 or bust. trading it, or trading down isn't a bad idea at all.

The Redd idea is possible, since rumours are Milwaukee are on the verge of a sellout. I question Charlie V's ability to play SF, but taking him wouldn't be bad. He can always stretch the defense as a backup PF.

How about extending that deal with a Jaric-4-Gadzuric trade? Both are horribly overpaid, don't play much and have the same amount of years left. But we actually could use Gadzuric, who's a physical C specialising in defense - next to Big Al. I think Milwaukee has no use for him with Bogut out there and a big guard who can actually defend and take care of the ball like Jaric would also be a nice compliment to Mo Williams, Yi and the aussie.

Altough I love the idea of having a light out shooter like Redd ripping the defense along with Big Al, I question the direction. So do we want to rebuild or trade for an All-Star? So suddenly we want to compete?

The West is ultra-tough currently, and will be for the next 2 years. After that, Suns, Spurs, Mavs, Nuggets will be too old and their place will be taken by young teams like Portland, Seattle and our Wolves. I'd rather draft Mayo and let him season next to our young core, which will allow us to destroy in a couple of years if all pans out.

Surfing around the web the past day proved to me that most Wolves fans want OJ Mayo. From what I gather, his questionable attitude was far overtold, as he is more of a determined competitor, grinding against all odds, rather than a primadonna who thinks that he's the second coming oj MJ. Damn, even if there are problems with him, he can't be worse than McCants.

Brook Lopez is decent, but he's not the answer for us. He's ok defensively, but he's not a stalwart, and a stalwart is needed. He'll be good, far from a bust, but I don't see him fitting next to Big Al. His offensive game is on the inside, just like Al, so they'd have a hard time playing next to each other.

We'll grab Thabeet next season, since we'll have two first rounder (ours and Miami's) unless the Heat suck again.

The Wolves will still be pretty young in 2-3 years though and they will need a good veteren player if they want to make any noise.  I really don't want the Wolves to go the direction of the Hawks where it seems like they are rebuilding year after year.  We could always stick with what we have though and wait for KG to come back once his contract is up and he already has a championship with the Celtics

I would like it if the Wolves drafted Mayo though because I think his game is more for the NBA than it was for college and I think he will be a star in the league.

You're absolutely right. Unfortunately Mchale is going to take Brook Lopez, and I'm not just saying that in humor and pessimism.

Taking Brook Lopez won't be bad. It just won't be the best scenario.

Only good thing is he cannot *** it up this time (unless he trades the pick for crap). Mayo's agent went to college with McHale, while Floyd coached Hoiberg. I hope Freddie pushes for Mayo.

EDIT: Agent thing dead, Andrews dropped Mayo because of the allegations that he gave some "gifts" to Mayo's friends.

No, we don't need Jarret Jack.

And I do believe Portland doesn't need another youngster.

What postion does Foye play PG or SG because that would help decide, which backcourt is better Foye/Bayless or Foye/Mayo.

Foye plays PG.

Mayo is currently at the same spot Foye was 2 years ago when it comes to being prepared to playing NBA-pointguard full-time. So I say don;t screw his head with all the PG stuff, let Foye do his thing. Mayo also can create for others, but more as an off-guard instead of the main playmaker.

PG Foye
SG Mayo
SF Gomes/Brewer
PF Jefferson
C ?
