I'm disturbed by our utter inability to find even one good quarterback in the last 20 years. That depends on what you think of Harbaugh and Kramer, of course.
I'm even more disturbed by our inability to find a premier running back. We have a long history of great running backs, but haven't had a really good one since... I don't know, does Neal Anderson count?

I'm even more disturbed by our inability to find a premier running back. We have a long history of great running backs, but haven't had a really good one since... I don't know, does Neal Anderson count? Yes, Neal Anderson does count as a really good RB. No Payton obviously, but an excellent RB (he made the Pro Bowl 4 straight years). One of the most underrated and underappreciated RB's in NFL history who had an injury shortened career. Thomas Jones played pretty well for us as well. BTW- as far as QB, I thought Harbaugh was better with Indy but not so great in Chicago (although he was solid). Kramer was probably the best QB we've had in the last several decades (even better than McMahon; '85 Bears won it all because of their legendary defense and the Payton/Suhey combo in the backfield more than their passing attack). |

Hey, don't forget about Moses Moreno......or Henry Burris....okay, sorry, can't hold it in anymore :lol:
I'm kinda perplexed by the way the Bears can't get a good QB either. I know there's an excuse because of all of the cold that the Bears have to play in that it's tougher to be a great QB in a place like Chicago, but then again, this guy called Brett Favre had a pretty solid career in a place even colder. However, in Green Bay the winds don't even compare to how strong they get in Chicago. Still though, that's not enough of an excuse.

what do u guys think about Mat Forte im pretty sure hes gunna be the starter but what kinda season is he gunna have. Im predicting 700-900 yards

I actually really like Forte. Before the draft I was thinking that he could wind up being a first round pick because of his size, speed, and skill set. The guy's got good speed on top of his great size. He's able to avoid the tackle fairly well and pick up yards after contact. He can also help a team on short yardage situations. As long as he gets good blocking he could be a very strong back for them right away.

I'm really hoping Forte pans out well for the Bears. I still cannot believe we passed up on Rashard Mendenhall. I mean, I know we need to rebuild that O-line so I'm content with out first round pick, but I wish we traded up and picked up Rashard late in the first round.

Yeah, but I thought the Bears should've gone after Branden Albert or Gosder Cherilus. However, Chris Williams should still be good, and I think that Forte will be close enough to the quality of Mendenhall that it'll work out okay.

Yeah, a lot depends on Jones' ability to come back from injury, but at least the running game looks like it could have some juice behind it next year.

OK, so I have to ask my trusted Bulls buddies. To Favre, or not to Favre, that is the Bears question. What would the ramifications be to his, teh Packers and Chicagos legacy, and would he be difference maker next season.

While I'd initially doubt it, when you look at what the Bears have to work with, I don't think the Packers, with Rodgers, are scared of what the Bears would have with Favre. However, I don't see any Favre to the Bears trade ever happening.

do u really think the packers would even consider trading frave to the bears i mean really No way in hell they straight up trade him to any team in the NFC north, or even a team on their schedule. The last thing they want is for Favre to come into Greenbay as an opponent and light them up while the fans riot. |
