If i was Jay Cutler i would be pissed too! A first time head coach wanted to bring his 1 year wonder (Matt Cassel) into Denver and trade their already existing Franchise QB! Thats insulting! But whatever BEARS got him now!!!! HAHAHA Time to draft some big receivers!!!! Our next 2 years of draft picks wouldnt have the impact that Cutler will have. We can find proven guys in Free Agency.

Orlando Pace wasn't a trade, it was a free agent signing.
As for the Cutler deal, I think it was great for both teams when you consider how the Bears regularly waste first round picks, so it's not like they would do a whole lot with those two picks, then you have Orton, who obviously wouldn't be needed too badly with Cutler there. After that you have the third round pick, and the Bears do use middle to later picks well, so that hurt a bit, but seeing them get a 5th round pick back made it a bit easier. As a whole, I'm very happy. It's good to see a new look in some very important places for the Bears, in fact, the two most important places on the offensive end of the ball.

You guys hit the lottery with Cutler. Kyle Horton (sp) is a BUM. Cutler is a PRO BOWLER.....
I can't remember the last time Chicago had a good QB. They are now my favs to win it all now that they have a great QB to compliment they're championship defense.
Detroit gets to see what they should have gotten 2 times a season too, I can't believe they really want Stafford.

Kyle Orton really wasn't the answer. He has one year left on his deal. So the Bears would have let him walk anyway. This years first round pick would have been an Offensive tackle most likely. But they signed Orlando Pace. So both of them are a wash. So we basically got Jay Cutler for a 1st rounded and a 3rd rounder. And that's a steal.

pace is old/injury prone at this point and will probably somewhat disappoint, but it's a solid rental for a year or two...still need young o line and a legit receiver or two, but cutler is a nice pickup all things considered.

Pace is 32 and i think he can stay healthy. He has had a couple injuries of late, but overall his career has been a healthy one. The Rams released Holt and Pace to save salary cap. Everyone thinks that teams cut players when they can't perform. That is not always the case. I believe they saved something like 6M by cutting Holt and Pace and the Bears can very easily grab both of them.

I remember when Carolina dropped Muhsin Muhammad right after he caught 93 balls for them for over 1400 yards (league leading). Sure, he wasn't THAT good with the Bears, but still, they didn't know that at the time in Carolina. Players get released for plenty of reasons, in fact it almost always seems to have money involved.

I know most everyone wants the Bears to get Torry Holt. Unfortunately, the word is Bears called, but dude ain't interested. Holt's agent Kennard McGuire responded "I don't see that,'' when asked by the Sun-Times if Holt could end up in Chicago. What other options do we have? Plaxico Burress, Matt Jones, Reggie Williams if we don't mind talented, but troubled cases. Ashley Lelie if we want a reclamation project. Amani Toomer could be a decent one year stop gap. Marvin Harrison? It' might get a little buzz, but he's clearly lost a few steps.

Well Trademark, i read that article a couple days ago and this is not Holt speaking. His agent doesn't see Holt being interested but that doesn't mean he won't be. If the Bears don't get Holt, Expect them to grab someone like a Miles Austin or Hank Baskett. I hope we get Hank becuase that means Kendra Wilkinson will come to the games

lol thats funny. Yeah you saw what happened with Muhammed when he went back to Carolina this year...he got a good QB and he played great this year. Theres names out there...Hank Basket,DJ Hacket,Ike Hillaird,Joe Jeriviscous,LANCE MOORE,Shaun McDonald. Torry Holt would be great though, only reason he did bad last year is because that team was horrible. A year before he was still a 1000 yard receiver.

If we're looking at guys that are very talented, but possibly trouble as well, Koren Robinson, I believe, is still out there. I remember him being very talented, just couldn't behave himself. I don't know if he's done anything recently, so he might be worth the risk.
I still have hope for Torry Holt, but I realize that it still isn't the most likely thing, especially with how much money it'll probably cost.

Bears may draft a wide receiver with thier 2nd round pick. Alot of talk about Hakeem Nicks but I like Robiskie from Ohio St. Also as a project with a later pick, Ramses Barden. They need a solid safety to replace Mike Brown and I know we have Jay Cutler but as a back we have no one really. I like rhett bormar from sam houston st. Trading away our 3rd round pick I would have said Nic "Hitman" Harris would be a great pick up, So If he is still around come the bears 4th round pick I would pick him up.
2nd Rd. Brian Robiskie WR 4th Rd. Nic Harris SS 5th Rd. Rhett Bomar QB 5th Rd. Ramses Barden WR

You can still get a top 5 top 10 receiver with that 2nd round pick. I think we should deffinetly go after a WR with that 2nd rounder. If anything we could even bring back Mike Brown to play safety for us...he did alright for most of the year last year.

I think Mike Brown's time has passed.
I love the guy (Honestly, he is my favorite non-'85 Bear.), but he's brittle. Hasn't played a full season since 2003 and the leg injuries took their cumulative toll last year. Still had that nose for the ball, but Mike wasn't as fast as he once was.
