Such a homer trade for Miami

first off does Elton Brand for the 6th pick sound like re-building to you, and why does Memphis want Al Thornton at the price of Mike Conley, when they have Rudy Gay.

Why in the hell does the Clippers lose Brand for anthying other than Beasley or Rose, espicially another just as old but worse PF in Shawn Marion, and the 6th pick and Thornton for Conley and Haslem flat out sucks for them too.

Brand is going to opt out and the clips are going to get nothing in return so they need to hurry and strike a deal before Brand is gone forever. Personally, Brand is too injury prone to be involved in a trade for Beasley or Rose in my opinion and giving you Marion and Haslem actually seems fair to me. Gay can handle the ball well and can be moved to the SG position so Al Thornton can continue his stellar play from the 2nd half of last season. Brand fills the need for frontcourt scoring and is the perfect compliment to Gay and for Crittenton to develop. The clippers just need help and they need it now. Conley is an up and coming PG who has great potential, Navarro can flat out shoot, Marion is a great defender and can put up 18 ppg (His contract is also ending putting Clippers in run to sign big free agent, Haslem and Hakim have similar games and either one could be traded for a nice SG if Navarro isn't cutting it.

Dude, are you sure there aren't any other Clippers you'd like?  Kaman is the only starter left.  And Brand isn't opting out and leaving for a team offering a MLE.  He either doesn't opt out or he opts out to resign with the Clips; nothing else makes sense.  This is flat out terrible.

There are two teams in free agency that can snag Brand and thats the 76ers and the Wizards, if Arenas opts out.

76ers can sign Brand first then take care of Iguodala.

Washington can sign Brand, decide if they want to keep Arenas or put him in a sign and trade, and the same thing with Jamison.

So Clipper fans do think everything is all good

Clippers fans always have HOPE!!!

But odds are definitely in our favor if there are only a couple of teams that  can afford Brand and neither hold any significance for him.  76ers definitely have a ton of cap room.  Bullets have room if Arenas opts out and Jamison isn't resigned.  That's asking for a lot.  Why would Elton commit to a situation like that.  And if they kept Gil and Ant to go with Elton, they're going to be paying over $90mil just next year alone -- that's going to make it hard to earn a profit.

Plus Elton has publicly said he doesn't want to leave the Clips and management constantly says "Elton isn't going anywhere."  Now we've all seen statements like that mean nothing.  But I think common sense says he's not leaving when there isn't a greener pasture beckoning him.

Why would he leaves the Clippers because after the draft, they'll have a bigger lineup than even the Wizards, they don't have a C like Kaman than got him from getting double teamed, and why would the Wiz do it because they would have to lose Jamsion as well, unless they let Jamsion go, sign Brand, and keep Gil, when I see as more likely.
