Easy one:  Jordan!

As for best player while in Washington?  I'd go with the old Wes Unseld highlights I have seen.  Arenas is starting to deserve a lot of consideration.

Quote from: "Mild Sauce"
Gotta go with Wes Unseld. Michael is the best player to wear a Wizards/Bullets uniform, but it was when he was well past is prime and only for a couple of years.

Gilbert Arenas, when all is said and done, could wind up being the guy though.

theyve had a lot of good years to remember like the championship in the 70s but they were never really rich in good players

Well, considering they won with the same core group of players in late 60s and 70s, and then tried to win with a make shift team in the 80s and I'd best like to forget that the 90s and the early Oughts ever happened.  They don't have the tradition that teams like the Celtics and the Knicks have, but they have some decent players over the course of their history.

I'll say Unseld, but the best in uniform, as mentioned by Mild Sauce is Jordan, but IMHO it's gonna be Gilbert very, very soon.

Although it would be great to say Michael Jordan, I'm gonna have to go with Gilbert Arenas.  Jordan didn't have his best days with the Wizards.  He had a low scoring average (around 21 points per game).  Arenas is around 30 ppg, and he's doing everything.  Plus the team made the playoffs when Arenas was there.  So I hate to put anyone above Jordan, but Arenas deserves the best Wizard of all time.

It's Elvin, and I have trouble naming him the best player in franchise history just because he had his best years with Houston.

As a Wizard?  Unseld.  As a player who at one time or another was with them?  Jordan.
