Quote
Derrick Rose apologized on Tuesday after being ticketed for driving 105 MPH in a 65 MPH zone.

"I know I did something dumb," said Rose. "I'm very sorry, and I can only promise that it will never happen again." The fine will be a slap on the wrist considering NBA salaries, and Rose might have just locked up an endorsement deal with Ferrari. The Bulls have yet to comment but are unlikely to reprimand their rookie PG.

ben gordon was a guy he trusted and always passed to when he was open.  those other guys are not the kind of shooters i'm talking about, they are more mid range guys.  how many times did we see rose get hinrich, deng or salmons a wide open shot and those guys would pump fake then try to step in to get a better shot and end up passing up a wide open 3 for a contested 20 footer? they are not the kind of guy's rose needs.  i said when he was drafted that deng and hinrich had to go and

I believe he was ticketed in late April.  So this was known well in advance before the drafted...before we won the lottery, as well.  So big whoop.  It was stupid, but the kid is just 19 years old and he made a mistake.

As long as Rose doesn't get on a motorcycle, I'm happy.

How do u know the Bulls knew? If it's just now coming out I'm sure the Rose camp could have it hidden it till after lol.

I kno it's not a big deal I just thought it was funny he was doing it.

I didn't say they did.  But I find it awfully suspicious that this was reported by the media now when it happened months ago.

Thats the funny thing about it all.  As much as everybody was afraid of Beasley getting in some kind of trouble with the law,  Rose was running the streets drunk doing 110mph on 65mph speed limit.  Go figure
I bet his brothers beat his a$$ that day.

It's something that everyone on here has done, it's not a big deal.

The Vision, he was not drunk, that makes a huge difference there. If he was drunk it would actually be some sort of a deal as far as character goes, but there's been nothing that's said he was drunk.

As for Beasley, more of the questions from him were things that most people don't do, things like vandalism and just getting kicked out of 85% of the high schools he went to. That's a little more serious that speeding in the Chicago area.

It didn't say anything about him being drunk.

Yeah, 50 miles over the speed limit is a minor thing.  It's only 50miles over right! Maybe he wasn't drunk, I guess it's time for him to lay off on the gummi bears and tootsie rolls lol.  Seriously, it's not that big of a deal, I'm just teasing.

I know you're kinda joking around about it, but saying #1 that he was drunk is making a serious accusation, and saying that he was going 50 over is also very misleading when it was barely more than 40 over the limit. I don't know about you, but I've done that myself, just for the fun of going fast. There's no one on the roads at that time, it's not like you're going to nail anyone, especially on those deserted country roads. I used to take 47 to get down to Eastern from here when I was still in college (before the 355 extension opened), and if it was late enough going down there I would top 100, and that's a 55 mph zone. There's just no one to run into. Of course if I saw the road curve ahead I would slow down, but hey, I'm stuck driving, why not have some fun.

However, I'm glad you're just kidding around about this.

It's not really defending him, it's making a point that there's nothing to go after him for.

I didnt feel like doing the math so I just estimated.  I guess I was way off, serves me right for being lazy.  I used to go over sometimes myself usually past midnight on the E-way.  I can't lie, whenever I did I was drunk.  I know it was stupid, but sometimes I would just hang out with buddies that live kinda far from my residence.  Since I would leave by myself I usually came back by myself.  I never used to drink to get trashed or nothin but i just like a nice buzz.  But even a little drunk is too drunk to be driving.  I did all that when I was a youngster, I'm still in my early 20's but I've learned alot from mistakes in the past.  Thank GOD I never got caught by the cops and still have a clean record.  Rose has a strong mind and he's blessed to be in such a great situation around alot of positive people.  He's a bit quiet but he's got a humble personality and thats gonna take him far.  I kinda look at Rose like a little brother, if i ever met him in person, and it looked like he was doin something he has no business doin (like Noah smoking weed) I would tell him.  I think thats how alot fans in the city feel about him, so no doubt he's gonna be just fine.
