Cavs trade:
Wally
Snow
2009 1st round
2010 1st round

recieve:
Redd Villanueva

Knicks trade:
Randolph

recieve:
Wally
Fasenko
2009 1st round via Cavs

Bucks trade:
Redd
Villanueva
2009 1st round

recieve:
Boozer
Snow

Jazz trade:
Boozer
Fasenko

recieve:
Randolph
2009 1st round via Bucks
2010 1st round via Cavs

Reasoning:
The Cavs make the deal in hopes that adding a quality perimeter player like Redd will stop James from leaving, while they pick up Villanueva who has shown that he can be a solid role player if he is willing to play, imho Lebron will bring the best out of him. The Knicks pick up an expiring contract, while getting rid of Randolph and picking up an extra 1st round pick for the 09 draft.  The Bucks pick up a big time PF to pair with Bogut and his solid play at Center and also pick up the expiring contract of Snow, which could play a big role in trying to re-sign Boozer in the offseason.  The Jazz, well they take a chance on Randolph, a player who's production in points and rebounds are similar if not better then Boozer, while having the security that he can't leave town after the up and coming season, they also get two future first round picks as compensation for taking the risk on Randolph possibly destroying their team chemistry.

What do you guys think? The numbers work and it seems like each team gets something they need and or want.

Honestly at first I thought that this trade was another ridiculous blockbuster from an NBA franchise fan who wanted their team to be the Celtics (aka...amazing). But after I read your reasoning it is somewhat logical. The Cavs do give up a lot in the picks. They also take on Redd's contract which is risky and Charlie V's who can bring down a team. The Knicks and Bucks get great value in return. The only issue is the Utah Jazz. I know that Boozer can leave after next season, but still...they won't replace an All-Star caliber player in Boozer for a troubled Zach Randolph regardless of their statistical production. So if the Knicks gave up David Lee and he went to the Jazz as well then maybe this deal works, but otherwise I think that Jazz feel ripped off...even with the Draft Picks. But it's a really good idea...will never happen...but nonetheless a good idea.

Why can't we just build a team of Kapono's...life would be so simple. Run down the floor, jack a 3...SIMPLE!

NO.

1. Carlos Boozer. Why would the Jazz pay more money to downgrade??? Randolph makes more than Boozer and doesnt perform as well as him.

2. Michael Redd. Redd shoudnt get traded, he was involved in trade talks before the draft because their was talk about the Bucks blowing up the team and rebuilding, but adding a proven veteran like Richard Jefferson, the Bucks are now a playoff team and will keep Redd.

3. The Cavs cant give away two 1st round picks in back-to-back years. NBA rules say that a team cant be without a pick for two years in a row.

That is why the Jason Kidd and Gasol trade both involved two 1st round picks, 1st was this year's draft and the 2nd will not be next year, but in 2010.
