Hey everybody hows it going.  I'm from the Bulls forum but I just wanted ya'll to know that you're paying Arenas way too much money.  He's milking you guys for all you got.  An estimated 127mil is too much to retain a guy who hasn't even gotten you to the conference finals.  That's almost 25mil annually, and he said he would take a pay cut if they kept Jamison!  How much did he originally want?  In my opinion you would've been better off letting him walk, and building around Butler and Jamison.
It's not like you don't have another point gaurd, Daniels is pretty good. I like Arenas and all, but I think he's playing the system and getting over big time.

ok this is probably the tenth time I heard this.

Gilbert is probably not even thirty yet, he is an amazing talent. One of the ebst scorers in this league. Plus Ernie wants our big three back because we have great chemistry together, why break it up?

I fully understand that Arenas is one of the top 5 elite players in the game.
I'm just not sure if you Wizards have the right makeup to go all the way to the finals.  Thats championship money!  Don't get me wrong, sometimes I envy your team, I wish we had Caron Butler and ya'll had Gordon.  But I think the Wiz still would've been a good team with or without Arenas.  If you wasn't able to take it all the way before off what you had, what makes things so different now with the same core.  Paying him all that money only slows down your mobility, and puts you in the luxury tax threshold.

Well last time our big three was healthy we were in first place till the all star break, history WILL repeat itself except this time we will be in first the whole year.

Ha ha, you've proved your point.  Our chances aren't very good. Shows you how much the Bulls fell.  That year we were neck and neck.  To be honest with you, with the exception of last year the Bulls and Wizards had a little rivalry going.  Those games were pretty exciting even though Haywood always looks like a beast when he plays us for some odd reason.
Hopefully this year we can get things back together.  We got a great pg out of the draft, got a new coach, Deng and Gordon just signed QO's, Thomas is finally taking things serious, we got rid of Ben Wallace(thank god) added a good pf (drew gooden) and most likely will make at least one major trade before the season kicks off.  I'm not sure how good we'll be, but I hope we could at least make it over the .500 mark and advance past the 1st rd in the playoffs.  And if it's the wizards were playing in the 1st round of the playoffs, it should be a piece of cake for the Bulls.

Because you guys aren't going to contend for a championship with what you have... I'm not a big fan of Arenas, he takes bad shots and probably won't ever be a winner in his career, he'll get his stats and remain one of the better talents, but he doesn't look like he'll ever be part of a championship team.  And now that he's locked up with the Wizards for what, 6 more years (?) he's probably not going to get that chip unless Blatche or McGee suddenly develop into monsters.

Yes Gilbert is locked up for 6 years, but he is young. He has a long future ahead of him. Now I am not going to guarantee anything, but I can tell you one thing, if Gil keeps playing at an elite level and his teammates progress, they will win championships together.
