They already have Scola, Dorsey, and Hayes.  If Landry is there it just stunts his development and it creates a logjam at power forward.  Dorsey is going to be a very good player IMO, and Scola already is.  Chuck Hayes isn't bad.  So why should they increase their payroll to keep a guy who's going to be among a 4-man rotation for 1 position?

that still doesnt mean his averages automatically grow if he gets 30-35 minutes per. 16/10?  I seriously doubt that.

or at least somewhere around that.  BATMON, u do realize that he's only going to be in his second year so there's a lot of room to improve.  He's a late-bloomer, so why not sign him?  Like I said, it's not some salary cap binding contract.

I just dont see this guy becoming Carlos Boozer, given a starting spot and 40 mins.

Was he worth the #1 pick?  Probably not!  But he is still a good player and averaged 14 and 9 last year and he's only 23 years old.

And seriously, why are u so against getting Landry?  I keep bringing up that it wouldn't be a salary cap binding contract.  He is a young player with room to improve given more playing time and he's better than anybody they have at the power forward position at this point.  Nobody is expecting him to come in and average 20 and 10, something like 12 and 8 would be good enough for a young player.  And at this point, he's better than anybody else out there on the free agent market not named Josh Smith or Andre Iguodala.

I just dont think Landry makes the Pacers better.

Im willing to see what Baston,Murphy,McRoberts,Nesterovic,Hibbert and Foster does this year before the Pacers add another player to the frontline.

okay fair enough, but I just personally think Baston and Nesterovich were taken on because of their expiring contracts and Foster will likely get dealt sometime between now and next offseason, cause even though he is a favorite of Jim O'Brien he deserves to play and he doesn't look like he's in their future plans.

Cool.

Lets say Baston and Nesterovic leave and Landry joins. Would u still look for a PF/C that's proven or would u wait for Landry to develop?
