Detroit trades: Prince Billups
Recieves: Marion Garcia 09 1st round pick
Sacramento trades: Artest Garcia
Recieves: Prince
Miami trades: Marion 09 1st round pick
Recieves: Billups Artest
Sacramento unloads the unhappy Artest for a young defensive minded Prince who is already locked up for another 3 years. Detroit decides to put its future in its youths hands by dealing away Billups and Prince, they are essentially renting Marion for one year to stay semi competitive this year while hoping to move Stuckey into the starting PG role to get him even more minutes. With this trade the Pistons would have enormous amount of cap sace in the upcoming offseason with guys like Sheed and Hamilton(possibly) off the books, while they still retain their younger guys. Miami gets rid of Marion and gets their PG in Billups and fills the SF position with Artest, which could very well make them a team to look for in the East.

why would sac do this? artest>prince and has trade value for odom. Garcia with consistant minutes should be a very good sf, we give up two strong pieces for one. det and mia end up with the better parts of these deals

Riley is not looking for any contrabts past 2010. & are 2009 1st go's to Minny, So no. But the talent looks good.

I say miami replaces garcia and a 1st w ith cook and haslem to cut out the middle man (sacramento) for a less troubled forward. Though I think they should allow chalmers to start before trading for an obvious star who would start (unless their a young franchise pg with 5-6 years in the tank).

That makes it worse for Miami. no way in hell.
