How about this....

Philly trades Chris Webber, Rodney Carney along with their 2008 and 2009 1st round pick, plus maybe 2 future 2nd rounders for KG.

I think the Wolves might bite, and Iverson/Garnett at the cost of all draft picks over the next 3 years might just worth doing.

That is just plain stupid. Why would you trade 2 years of 1st & 2nd rounders, and more for someone who is on the decline, and can get a serious injury any day now. Have you not learned about teams trading years worth of first rounders, and the players they recieve don't do as expected, and lose their FUTURE as well?

They would have to trade Webber in the deal for Garnett.

Webber's salary is 20.7 M and KG's is 21 M. That tells you how difficult it's to trade Webber to anyone. I have no idea why KG would want to come to Philly, but I'll speculate anyway:
Webber, Iguodala, Carney, Green: 27.2 M
Garnett, Jaric, Reed: 27.5 M

Philly's starters: Jaric, Iverson, Korver, Garnett, Dalembert
Minny's starters: James, Davis, Iguodala, Webber, Blount

KG would sign with a better team after '07-08 and Philly would sign Ron Artest for example to replace him.

His contract doesn't end after this season. He'll make 22 M next year and then has a player option to opt out of '08-09 season.

From Real GM: 10/01/03: The Timberwolves signed Kevin Garnett to a five-year, $100 million contract extension. He is now under contract through 2008-09.

Garnett is definitely the kind of guy that would make AI better.

But Philly has proved that it sucks at GMming.

Just like NYC, Philly is happy just to sell lots of tix.   Making any smart deals is not necessary as long as AI puts buts in the seats.   Philly isnt going to make smart moves (get Garnett) or do well in playoffs until AI retires and then years of rebuilding.

Any Garnett for CWebb talk is pointless.    Trading Garnett is going to be losing proposition no matter what.  But if it happens, Minny needs more meat, more than Korver, Iggy, CWebb, Dalembert put together to want to do a trade.   And Philly especially cant dangle anything bc the package would somehow have to make up for CWebbs heavy contract.

Garnett to Philly is impossible...

well you could trade iverson for garnett

Iverson
Iguodala
Hunter
Henderson
Randolph
25.7 M
FOR
Garnett
Jaric
McCants
Griffin
29.3 M

I don't know if I'd do that if I were the GM, but it's a decent way to buy time and make it look like you're trying.
Jaric/Ollie
Green/McCants
Korver/Carney
Garnett/Webber
Dalembert/Griffin

Iverson/Hudson
James/Foye
Davis/Hassell
Hunter/Randolph
Blount/Madsen
