Option 1: PG: Randy Foye, Sebastian Telfair SG: Mike Miller, Rashad McCants SF: Ryan Gomes, Corey Brewer, Rodney Carney PF: Kevin Love, Craig Smith, Brian Cardinal C: Al Jefferson, Jason Collins, Calvin Booth, Chris Richards
Pros- Good 3pt shooting team, strong in the post, good passing from PF position, decent 2nd unit, more capspace in 2009 and 2010, has Nikola Pekovic developing in Europe Cons- Entire foward rotation is mostly undersized, franchise player is being played out of position, Love-Jefferson combination looks shaky defensively on paper, Miller not known as a defender either
Option 2: PG: Randy Foye, Mario Chalmers, Marko Jaric SG: OJ Mayo, Rashad McCants, Greg Buckner SF: Ryan Gomes, Corey Brewer, Rodney Carney PF: Al Jefferson, Craig Smith, Antione Walker C: DeAndre Jordan, Calvin Booth, Chris Richards
Pros- Good 3pt shooting, nice size overall, good 2nd unit, balanced roster with both rookies and veterans, alot of potential, good defenders in the guard positions, Jordan should be a good helpside defender Cons- Untested; rookies at 2 starting positions, Jordan doesn't have the offensive skills to start, too many players several would need to be bought out, Foye and Mayo skillwise may overlap, not enough minutes to keep veterans happy and continue to develop youth (Pretty sure this will be my team on NBA 2k9)
As a fan I would rather support the 2nd team but when analysing it the first team has a much more balanced and experienced overall team.
