What do you think is the Wizards biggest advatage over the Eastern Conference teams this season? In my opinion, it is our chemistry and our experience together.

The offsense is good, this team can fill it up. The problem is that can Arenas, Jamsion, and Butler have good games and not two of them having good games, and one of them being off. Arenas is going to have to be a bit less aggresive, and Caron is going to have to be a bit more, because it seems like when Arenas is out doing his thing, Caron is content to fade in the background. He has to keep forcing the issue, and not be passive when Arenas is out there. The defense also has to improve. We have the guys like Stevenson, Haywood, and Caron, but Jamsion and Arenas have to pick it up too. They don't have to be shutdown, just average to a bit above average, because of their potent offense. The Wizards have drafted a great bench in McGee, Young, and Blatche. They just need to get these guys minutes, they should be in the rotation along with Daniels, and Thomas. This team is closer to contention than many give them credit for, and I think that if this team performs up to it's potiential they should be up their with the best teams in the league.

I know you'll come to me and tell me you think some bench warmer I've only seen a few times is 'going to surprise me this season'.

I think you underestimate what it takes to surprise me :wink:
Butler surprised me all season. Young surprised me on a couple of nights. Everything else was pretty much normal imo.
How about Garvey's obsession with Melo, what's that about? haha

How about Garvey's obsession with Melo, what's that about? haha Listen Spacey, you put Melo in an actual system instead of a coach telling him specifically to do "whatever you want" and he'll flourish. And I thought all it took to impress you was a fat ***. |

well, LeBron's in a similar system and he's become arguably the best player in the league. Who's to say the Pistons system wouldnt neuter him?

That's James though, there really hasn't been as multi-dimensional a player as him before, Anthony doesn't have the passing or ball handling skills that Lebron has, therefore isn't as effective if you asked him to be a sort of point forward, it's not his game. Not to mention the ball is almost always in James hands, whereas in Denver he has to rely on Iverson getting him the ball, when under the same system it also doesn't not play to Iverson's best instincts. Before his suspension two seasons ago, he was averaging over 30 ppg and 4 apg, and shooting around 50% and the Nuggets were starting to click when Karl had an actual system in place. He comes back and Karl has more or less checked out. And he really hasn't played with the same energy since then.

i'd say entering training camp fairly healthy is a huge advantage, so when arenas guarentee's a victory on opening night you guys actually have a chance to win
