Could Austin be the veteran "glue guy" the pacers will need with the amazing amount of youth here. We are not brimming with PF talent, so from a talent perspective he could make the team.
We have contract issues though. 16 players under contract, 15 of them on the roster.
Seeing as he was a fan favorite here, I think you make a move to keep him.
Try sending Daniels and Williams to New York for Malik Rose's expiring contract.
What moves do you see to get the roster to 14 and make room???

shouldnt have resigned Stephan Graham(even tho hes a gun)... and let Josh McRoberts go(even tho local kid).
haha or just buy out Daniels/Tinsley

True but when the team was imploding a couple years ago, it was Austin who brought them together as a team and got them going.
I don't see him starting, but he played hurt when our superstars were suspended. He showed up and busted his behind when those superstars started whining. Maybe he can teach this generation of players how to be men and not just basketball players.
Bench players can contribute even when they don't play much. Instead of getting into bar brawls, or getting picked up with their school buds, who are wanted for murder, they can provide leadership.
Play him a year (or two), then ask him to become a coach.
Ship off Williams and Daniels, and buyout Tinsley. Just make room.

Well they just traded Williams to Dallas for Eddie Jones whom they plan to waive.
One extra contract gone.
Buy out Tinsley and there you go...

I like Croshere as a player, as a former pacers but Croshere is not the guy who can help nor contribute to this team. What Pacers need is a strong player who can provide defend inside, rebound well, and play decent post-up game.
