Todays Rumor - "A league executive said that the Chicago Bulls have interest in New York Knicks forward Zach Randolph to solve their low-post scoring problems, but don’t have a package that would interest New York." How do you feel about trading for Randolph? Would he be a black hole, not passing and forcing up shots? Is he a bad character for the team? Or would he help the teams low post scoring? How about trading L. Hughes, T. Thomas, & C. Simmons to N.Y. for Z. Randolph, D. Lee, & W. Chandler? The salaries matches up, and David Lee is not happy there. But would N.Y. take Hughes now that he is hurt? Could we switch K. Hinrich for Hughes in the trade, but that would leave us short on guards with both B. Gordon & L. Hughes injured!

That's a total rip off for NY. I think they'd take Hughes + someone decent. They don't love Randolph, but they're not looking to ditch him for anything they can get like they are with Curry.

keep hinrich, trade hughes.
it is an interestinng qualm; i would say dont do it. NY took a gamble on randolph hoping that he would change his ways on a new team, but he was still a cancer and not a team player. we need quality guys to surround derrick rose with. he is not going to bring them to the next level to do well in the playoffs so forget it. i do like David Lee though. and finally, why cant bulls be in the hunt for 2010--chicago could be a decent destination for a star now with Rose and hopefully deng steps it up.

He'd help the team's post scoring but he's not worth everything else.

Randolph actually turned around his attitude in his last season with Portland. He just didn't change his style of play all that much. He's a black hole on offense sometimes, but calling him a cancer is really not fair. I agree, any trade for Randolph wouldn't make them a playoff team so there's no real point.

I'd take him on the Bulls... I've actually watched the Knicks quite a bit in the preseason and it seems like he's changed, he's been running the floor and hasn't done alot of those 1 on 1 isos that he likes 2 try and pull.... As long as u stick a solid defensive center around him ur team would still be good on D... I've always liked Z-Bos game so I wouldn't be mad if the Bulls did get him.

Bulls / Bills / Marlins / Noles ben gordon was a guy he trusted and always passed to when he was open. those other guys are not the kind of shooters i'm talking about, they are more mid range guys. how many times did we see rose get hinrich, deng or salmons a wide open shot and those guys would pump fake then try to step in to get a better shot and end up passing up a wide open 3 for a contested 20 footer? they are not the kind of guy's rose needs. i said when he was drafted that deng and hinrich had to go and

plus hughes is basically a black hole on offense. so if you can get rid of him and someone that is not of huge value itd be alright--if he has supposedly changed. but still i think they should let the kids develop and then get bosh or wade in 2010 (haha mostly unlikely)

Randalph right now can only be view as a negative for the team if they get him. He was crap on two teams already, and to me, would have the same negative effect on the young players moral's and character that Ben Wallace had on them.
Rose, Thomas, and Deng are the guys on the team that I think should be untouchable. They are the three guys the Bulls should be building around. Love what I've seen from Thomas in the pre-season.

While I agree Randolph wouldn't help the Bulls much, most of you are acting like he's Stephon Marbury. He's really has a pretty decent attitude most of the time. He's a great 18-10 guy. He just needs a lot of touches to be effective. He's got more than his share of flaws, but don't confuse him with someone who will have a negative impact on your team.

I don't get it, why everybody got a problem with a player on the Knicks? I see why them guys be treating the fans like they do. You people highlighting Zach flaws need to quit it. He's a good player that can shoot from outside and give you a banger inside. He has all the skills, but just because Knicks has done bad, doesn't mean it's his fault. When they acquired him they already were bad with billboard names on the team. So obviously something was wrong with chemistry. Especially now that we have J-mall talking about how he doesn't want Steph on the team. I tell you how this would work for the Bulls and why. Listen, we lack interior scoring and if you browse a site call Youtube and search for Zach Randolph mix, this guy clearly gets it done from inside to the three-point line. Plus, I know many will say that he doesn't play defense. Well guess what, Drew doesn't play good defense himself. I mean we're banking on this guy to hit every jump-shot from 15 feet, just to claim he had a breakout year on his final contract year. Huh? Please, if I can get this guy from them for Joakim and Hinrich or any other trade that doesn't involve Rose, then I'm for it. I've heard guys from John Hollinger to Chad Ford say we need to get interior scoring from a Center or Power Forward. And the stats are clearly showing we need to. Last, I'm not woried about the defense anyway, Thomas has made a living playing Defense in the paint, why do you still think he's here?
Forcast:
PG: Rose (He automatically comes more free of double-teams with Zach on the post, which means more deadly drives and highlight reels)
SG: Gordon (BG becomes more wide open for spot-ups)
SF: Deng
PF: Thomas (He can focus more on what he does best - defense!!!!!)
C: Randolph (Comes to his favorite city and showcase his GO-TO-GUY ' ssssss.)

If, and it's a big IF, randolph can buy into team basketball, i would have no problem having him here. the guy's a 20-10 player, and he would provide awesome low-post skills. in the trade, they'd have to get rid of larry hughes, since we're also doing them a favor in taking on randolph, which is risky. throw in gooden, not tyrus. although a potential starting frontcourt of tyrus and randolph looks pretty small, i wouldnt trade tyrus whatsoever. besides rose, tyrus, and deng, trade whoever. also, i'm all for receiving wilson chandler, but im biased since i took a couple classes with him at depaul. seriously though, the guy is an athletic beast. sign draylon burns too haha

You'd probably still have to start Noah at center.

The Bulls need a true C, and not some one like Zack who plays best as a PF. Bulls already have Thomas and Gooden at the 4 spot, and need a big body just for a while until Grey and/or Noah get more expirience.
