Jackson and Marshall (Indiana)
for
JR Smith (Denver)

Denver:
there isnt too many better fits to there shooting guard problem available then jackson...
he shoots the 3.. has height... wont be the main option on the wing.. has played deep in playoffs.. and getting outta indiana may be just what he needs..
plus there trying to win now.. and they dont wanna start JR.. and r real short on SGs..

Indiana:
Jacksons gets out of indiana..
we will have 2 starting guards(Daniels starts) who can dribble and actaully allow us to play up tempo..
Daniels gets court time.. and when he starts he avges 17..
JR smith continues our move to athletic.. he can shoot 3s.. which we need.. and becomes a 6th man..
he has youth.. and is good in up tempo...
putting marshall in the trade.. allows us to keep Greene/Powell/Edwards..

..its not perfect.. but denver didnt do much to get JR..
and this allows us to grab some1 worth a first rounder..
and we dont have a 1st rounder next year..

Trade doesn't work.

~ JR makes less than $2mil while Jackson alone makes around $6mil.  Marshall doesn't make much, but it just makes the trade more lopsided.

~ I agree it would move Jackson out of Indiana, where he has had a tough time, to a team that would be a perfect fit for him.  JR Smith is a known attitude problem, and something we don't want on our team.

I would rather give them Jack for a protected 1st rounder, and keep Marshall to back up Daniels.  He doesn't have JR's skill set yet, but he's a hard working kid with a great attitude and is willing to be whatever we need him to be.

First you can't throw in his contract, he's retired. Second, that would make an even bigger difference in salaries. Ever heard of this salaries need to match concept or the realgm trade checker?
