Big Blow there

Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich will be out up to twelve weeks with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his thumb. He suffered the injury during Friday's game and will undergo surgery on Tuesday.

Wow. We'll update the details as they become available, but this is obviously going to give more minutes to Ben Gordon, Thabo Sefolosha and Larry Hughes (when he returns from his shoulder injury). Gordon will get his first start of the season on Saturday, replacing Hinrich at shooting guard. Nov. 8 - 6:51 pm et

ben gordon was a guy he trusted and always passed to when he was open.  those other guys are not the kind of shooters i'm talking about, they are more mid range guys.  how many times did we see rose get hinrich, deng or salmons a wide open shot and those guys would pump fake then try to step in to get a better shot and end up passing up a wide open 3 for a contested 20 footer? they are not the kind of guy's rose needs.  i said when he was drafted that deng and hinrich had to go and

Now we can see what Thabo can do which i think is not much. Hopefully they see that and trade him.

This really sucks.  Now we can't trade him, so we are stuck with him at least for this year.  Hinrich has no value now.

Paxson sucks too.  Ben Gordon is by far our best scorer and he will not be here next year.  So this will be the excuse to retain Kirk "the 38% shooting and wide open shot missed" Hinrich.  The Bulls will be a subpar team for  3 more years or until Paxson and Hinrich are gone.  Derrick Rose is awesome, but he can not do it alone.

This is do or die for Thabo.  He better put his act together.

Not to mention as Sam Smith put in his article. Hinrich was are best tradeable piece next to Rose. I could care less about Thabo. He isn't making big money and most likely will not be resigned. Hughes' contract is over soon  and Gordon is done in the summer if not sooner. But Hinrich is long term and several million dollars away from being done. A good ealry start for him could have made it easier for the Bulls to trade him before the Deadline. Now he will be out 3 months? So good luck trading him. Maybe. But now I see the Bulls suffering through this season with the team they have and making moves this summer. Which considering they're not hurting the team by standing pat, And Rose is still being played I could care less. Let's hope Deng can get it together and earn his 71 million. Or there is another one we will be stuck paying. I saw the play and know a guy isn't going to suffer through sugery to protect himself from being traded. But the timing was funny to me. I wonder if something was being talked about involving Hinrich.
