Ok! so i just had another post RIGHT before I learned of the new trade with Zbo going to clippers who already have Kaman and Camby.  Thus, one of those 3 players must be available.

I think Kaman would be great for the bulls.  He can score in the post and is a good starting C.  Although he is dang ugly.

Paxson, c'mon look at this oportunity to get a big man.  Trade either hinrich, hughes, ty thomas, or Noc. to get him.  The clippers may like the idea of getting nocioni because they lost tim thomas.

I think LA will be looking for an upgrade at SG so the Bulls won't be able to get Kaman unless it's a 3 team deal.

Salaries wouldn't work. Chicago would have to trade out over 20 mil for 2 players. Hinrich is injured, Hughes is trash and Deng won't be traded by the FO which leaves Gooden at 8 mil as the largest contract.

He's also a big man who can both score in the post and play solid defense. That right there is worth an awful lot.

Ok now this story has stronger legs. It's being talked around by legit media sources. I still feel Kaman has some pricey years ahead. But I also like is game, and If this deal goes through then the Bulls must include Deng or Hinrich to get him. It not as bad a financial move if they can lose another big contract to get him. I would prefer them sending Deng getting Kaman plus a shooting guard or small forward.

Another move is dumping contracts for Marion.

Kaman's at $9.5 million this year, $10.4 the year after that, $11.3 million the year after that, and then his contract concludes at $12.2 million for the 2011/2012 season. For a big with the type of tools that he has, I'd say that it's worth trading away a good player for. Maybe a Gordon and Gooden type of trade, something like that, although it may take more.

We might be able to get him for Hinrich? That's a good deal.

I would trade Hinrich and a pick for Kaman.  Kaman is still relatively young at 26/27?  We desperately need a big man and it would allow us to start Kaman at 5 and Gooden at his natural postion PF.  Hinrich doesn't fit in the plan for this year or the future, but will LAC accept this with Baron Davis, Eric Gordon, Jason Hart, Mardy Collins and Mike Taylor at guard?  More realistically, I could see Ben Gordon and Tyrus Thomas (please get him out of chicago) or Andres and Joakim.

While Hinrich may wind up being more valuable for another team, his lack of value with the Bulls makes me think that he wouldn't be enough for a trade for Kaman. Games like today's with Gooden and Gordon make me think that Gooden and Gordon may be enough, but I'm just not sure.
