I think it is time to make a move.  We have a couple players that can be traded to teams looking to contend.

Daniels - ($6.8 final year) is playing well, but just seems out of sorts.  When his offense is clicking his defense is not.  When he is shutting down his opponent, he can't hit anything.  His contract would be considered expiring, and would be attractive to other teams.  I would rather watch Rush and Graham play.

Nesterovic - ($8.4 final year) has a large expiring contract and is a serviceable big man for a team lacking that.  If we are going to lose, I would rather see Hibbert get a lot of minutes.

Baston - ($1.97 final year) is not getting minutes here, although I thought the system here with Obrien would be a good fit.

Diener - ($1.6 player option next year) he is not going to be playing this year unless an injury occurs, and there are teams looking for a serviceable PG.  Package him and get value quick.  I would suspect that he will leave at seasons end.

I think we need to make a package and try to get back something for them.  You may even get Tinsley out if you do something.

U know what though.  Even though they have a losing record and have lost 6 straight, there seems to be a lot more excitement here than there has since 2005.  They've played hard and Granger has become a star.  Rush and Hibbert have shown that they are really going to be good players and Ford and Jack have handled the point very well.  I say just let the contracts expire.  Even though the Pacers really don't ever go after big-name free agents, they can use that money to resign their own players and add some veterans to the puzzle.  They'll have a likely lottery pick this year too.  The one mistake I believe they made was not trading Dunleavy last summer.  His value is never going to be higher than it was and they really could have gotten a lot for him.
