OK, I got it from naother forum where he has a HEAT front office bud, and he reported the Shaq trade earlier than it was done, so the proposed offer of Miami is:
Marion & Banks
for
Thomas, Noah and Hughes
Now that's on the table, the problem is, from my point of view, no one would be desperate and grab Banks from our damn hands, but watcha think? Some heat fans dislike it, but I cant understand why, cause it's pretty good for us, at least.
What's your thoughts? Thanks.

Hmmm, since Thomas is being traded away and Marion is being united with another excellent point guard, I guess I can't complain although I'm not a huge Marion fan. I feel like Banks is a better point guard than most think though, having him come in, especially around rookie wall time for Rose, could really help the Bulls. Thomas I'm still worried could turn into a good player, Noah will never be much more than he is right now, and although I hate losing his 2010 expiring contract, and the fact that he's been playing well in the last few weeks, I can allow Hughes to go.

If Miami is willing to take three Bulls' problems I'm game. Hughes wants minutes and shots and to start, he likes to get steals farther down on his list of important items are team defense and winning. Thomas can run and jump and block shots in a spectacular way and can shoot but not make an 18 foot jumper, he lacks maturity, focus, one on one defense, gets pushed around under th basket and his only good shot is the dunk. Noah can set a decent pick, rolls to the basket but doesn't know how to take a decent shot on the way, can rebound but gets winded, doesn't seem to kniow the plays vey well, bad hands, shooting range 3 feet, dumb fouls, gets pushed out of the way under the boards.
And the Bulls end up with Shawn Marion, who has in the past been able to put up 30-20 games, runs the floor, a fat expiring contract so if he fits in with Rose and wants to stay a more reasonable price could stay or give a lot of cap space. And Banks who has a long contract for a backup point guard but would have to see that he's going to be behind Rose or traded again so no attitude problems.
It's a very good trade for this year on the court, Gooden ends up playing more minutes at center with Gray, with Marion playing the 4, Nocioni backing up both the 3 and 4, short term Thabo can take all of Hughes' minutes at guard until Hinrich returns, fewer bad shots much better ball movement which helps the other four on the floor score. Right now with either Noah or Thomas or both on the floor defenses don't have to pay any attention to them outside the paint with Gray, Marion and Deng or Gooden, Marion and Nocini you have scorers inside or out who can't be left to double Rose.
Barring any other trades for next year the Bulls would have Marion, Gooden, Gordon dropping off, $31.5 million in cap space to fill in at the C, PF and SG, not to mention trades.
Let's wish Tyrus a speedy recovery from his concussion and pull the trigger on this deal.

There's pros and cons for each.
Chicago
Pros: They get rid of Larry Hughes monster contract a year earlier to make a run at someone this year. Maybe Carlos Boozer or some solid veterans to fill out the roster or whatever they want really. Getting rid of Hughes should also help chemistry.
Cons: Their bigman rotation is horrible after this. Gooden and Gray are pretty much it but I'd expect Nocioni and Marion to get time at power forward. Noah and Thomas are still young and could still explode after this deal and taking on Banks means lowering their chances in 2010 even though he could be a solid backup for Rose. Maybe this trade would lead into a Kirk Hinrich trade at the deadline if anyone wants him injured or the offseason otherwise.
Miami
Pros: They finally get some bigs and they get rid of Marcus Banks and would have no one signed past 2010 not including team options.
Cons: Noah and Thomas have both struggled in Chicago and I don't know if it will turn around in Miami. Hughes is trash and they'd probably have the same problems with him that Chicago has been. I don't think this is a deal they'd want to make if they want to go to the playoffs.

If the plan is to get Marion so that we can let him expire and sign Boozer (or wait for Wade/Bosh in 2010) then I'm game. I would much rather trade Deng/Hughes for Marion, Banks and filler so that the Bulls can fully transform into the Suns of 3-4 years ago. Rose, Gordon, Marion, Thomas, Noah could outrun any team in the league even more explosively than Nash's Suns ran. That would be exciting.

Boozer left Cleveland when Pax's brother was GM there. He broke a promise in order to get out of his contract to sign with Utah for money that the Cavs couldn't match. It cost Paxon his job.

I like the trade if !!!! Paxson has another trade in the works to get a quality bigman? I dont mind getting rid of all 3 but, we already have poor play from our bigmen, this will make us thin & poor at 4 & 5. If we trade say Deng, Hinrich, and/or Nocioni for a center like Kamen or Miller than this team would look more balanced. Rose/Banks Gordon/Sefolosha Marion/Nocioni Gooden Kamen/Gray

As I have said in another forum. Any trade that doesn't include Rose and rids the Bulls and Contracts or lottery busts is good with me. Still thought Noah may have a place on our future bench but it's all good. Maybe Miami would be willing to add a future draft pick or two? Even Second rounders, sense with traded ours away right? I would be concerned with Boozers health.
