Not sure if the money works. Off the top of my head.

Sign Chris Bosh
Trade Luol Deng to the Sixers for Andre Iguodala
Draft Kentucky's PF/C Daniel Orton #17
Sign Anthony Morrow, JJ Redick
Re-sign Brad Miller, Acie Law

PG Rose/Hinrich/Law
SG Andre Iguodala/Redick/Hinrich
SF Anthony Morrow/James Johnson/Andre Iguodala
PF Chris Bosh/Taj Gibson/Daniel Orton
C Joakim Noah/Daniel Orton/Brad Miller

Sixers have lost faith in Iggy as a 'franchise' guy, looked to deal him at the deadline. Bulls have lost faith in Deng due to his durability issues. Bad deal for bad deal.

With Morrow and Redick, you add shooters, players that can maximize open looks of Derrick Rose's penetration.

I know Orton at #17 may seem like a stretch based on collegiate production, but look at him. He's an active 6'10-6'11, 260lb 4/5, very active defensively with a block, 3 rebs and a half steal in only 13 mins per contest. I think worst case, he could become a slightly more offensive-minded Kendrick Perkins or best case, you can groom him into a a player similar to Andrew Bynum. Either way, he addresses a need: He gives us some needed beef in the post.

Derrick Rose on wearing #1: "That was my AAU number when I first started playing. I was the No. 1 draft pick. And hopefully I'll be No. 1 at my position."

The problem with these threads is that especially with the draft and free agency, you're dealing with two separate entities. You can't draft based on what you hope to get in free agency, because you don't know what you're going to get. I think it's a fun thread, but it really took until this season for me to realize that I should wait until after the draft to really mention who to go for as far as free agents are concerned. However, where the Bulls are drafting, it's not like they're going to get a starter anyway. Taj Gibson was able to start due to that Thomas injury and just wound up being a great pick, you can't expect that every year.

TradeMark that isnt bad...

I think at 17...you take the best player available. And hopefully the best player available is either a SG or a bigman. I think 16-25 is a bunch of similar talent....just pick the guy you like the best. When FA comes....get your bigman you have needed for the past 10 years lol Spend your extra 4 mil on a shooting guard like Mike Miller or something.
