jasakivicius daniels granger harrington foster
o'neal jackson tinsley marshall
what do you guys think of this starting lineup... i know it would never happen but i feel it'll make us a more balanced team. we won't have all our offensive guys playing with one unit.

you would get handled each and every game. its not as if they'll be playing the bulk of the minutes. its just to spread things out among the 2 units. we don't need jo, harrington, jackson, granger all on the floor to start the game. thats to many scorers with only one ball, someones gonna get left out.

Okay but all I'm saying is he is far and above the best player on your team, your All-Star PF, to have him as a bench player would be nuts.

he was a deserving all star 3 yrs ago, and so far this season al harrington is playing better ball than him. if he's such a "leader" he would do what was best for the team, and if the coach thought that they would be better off with him coming off the bench then he shouldn't argue.

Notice jackson played better coming off the bench.. and playing against the oppenant bench/tired starters..
Tinsley Daniels Granger Harrington Oneal
This lineup works because the 1,2,3 men are all unselfish guys who can push the ball up the court.. and the 2 bigs are the finsihers and trailors.. with look more like suns lineup.. jackson, foster, sarunas come in and complete the 8 man rotation...

id say start jeff foster again, move o'neal to pf,harrington sf,and granger sg.they'd be muscular defensively, especially at guarding 2s and 3s.and they wont be able to run anyway, the stars o'neal and harrington are too half-court oriented, they score more on post-ups rather than drives and fastbreak layups

I remember running long distance races in high school, the coach liked to put a rabbit in the field to keep the early pace going. The guy would only last a quarter of the mile to be run.
Maybe that is what the Pacers need to do. JO and Al are not really known for their up-tempo game, but if they come into a game that is already moving that way, they play it well. So let's start some rabbits.
C Jeff Foster PF Josh Powell / Maceo Baston / Shawn Williams SF Marquis Daniels / Rawle Marshall SG Rawle Marshall / Oriene Greene PG Darryl Armstrong
Full Court Trap from the beginning of the game. Chase the opposing starters into exhaustion, and 4 minutes in, start bringing in the first team. Tempo is established, so they just need to move with it.
Other than Foster, Daniels, and Armstrong, the others won't play that much so fouls aren't a problem. They may not score a bunch, but they won't give up 30 in the first quarter either.
