What do you guys think? Jordan Hill is a super athletic NBA ready player with a refined Offensive game and he is also very good defensively. Ive seen scouts compare him too Chris Wilcox with a little bit of Chris Bosh in his game.(2 very different styles i think) But I think he will have a pretty good rookie campaign having a simliar impact that Al Horford did. OR the monster from Tarzania Hasheem Thabeet, the guy swats anything that come close to him. But offensive he will struggle in the NBA, and getting owned by 6'6 DeJuan Blair hurts his stock. If the Bulls somehow made a trade to get up this high in the draft, who would you go for?

For the Bulls, Thabeet would be 10 times more valuable, simply because he is the defensive force that they need inside. They've needed a Tyson Chandler type since they traded Tyson Chandler, and Thabeet is the closest thing that's come into the league since, and he might be better offensively. I'm sure Hill is going to be a decent pro, but right now he fits right into that Tyrus Thomas, Stromile Swift, Brandan Wright, Luol Deng, Anthony Randolph, stereotype. Tons and tons of potential and athleticism that may one day project to the pros. However, if you look at the list above, you'll see that that falls into a wide spectrum. Personally, Even if Hill fell to teh Bulls somehow, I think we'd pass simply because we already have Thomas.
As far as the question of who will be the better pro, Hill will probably have better career numbers, but simply because Thabeet is a true center with some polished skills, he'll always be more valuable to a winning team.

Bulls / Bills / Marlins / Noles ben gordon was a guy he trusted and always passed to when he was open. those other guys are not the kind of shooters i'm talking about, they are more mid range guys. how many times did we see rose get hinrich, deng or salmons a wide open shot and those guys would pump fake then try to step in to get a better shot and end up passing up a wide open 3 for a contested 20 footer? they are not the kind of guy's rose needs. i said when he was drafted that deng and hinrich had to go and

I agree with that too, You dont get 7'3 athletic basketball players very often. Jordan Hill will still have a very successful NBA career though.

given the bulls roster, i can't see how they'd go with anything less than a true center, especially a guy who can become a defensive cornerstone at the next level

I agree with Thabeet but I think that Hill will be the better individual player. Thabeet will be such a big factor on defence that he'll have more of an impact and so will probably be more valuable. Like a 7-3 Ben Wallace.

Jamal Crawford, Monta Ellis, Baron Davis, Stephon Marbury and Allen Iverson are all superior offensive scorers to someone like Chris Paul or Rajon Rondo, does that mean that you'd want what those guys bring you over a more complete package? This might not be the best analogy, but I think you get my point.

Jordan Hill is going to be a nice player at the next level. But....How is a team with Budinger and him not a top 25 team? And another thing to think about is....DeJuan Blair owned Thabeet....and you could say Luke Hanagrody gave him a tough time the 2 times he has met him this year too. Thabeet will be a solid pro, but he is deffinetly going to have to get stronger. These smaller stockery guys get him at his legs and box him out no problem.

This might not be the best analogy, but I think you get my point. That was a TERRIBLE analogy cuz that has nothing to do with Jordan Hill and the PFs u mentioned because he does BOTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH defend and has a offensive game........ You compared great scorers / bad defenders and not the best playmakers on a nightly basis to prolly two of the best in the NBA and solid defenders Yeah Blair destroyed Thabeet but things happenn, I can't wait for the rematch next Saturday hopefully I'm able to watch it cause I seriously doubt it happenes again + of course Blair has a banged up knee now so who knows... Harangody didn't do much if anything inside on Thabeet in the 1st meeting, I missed the 2nd one though so I can't really say.

Hill was great early, but those injuries really did him in. I can see Thabeet really being a solid center, but no way he'll have a better career than what Michael Jordan had.
