Maybe they do but the head coach still makes the final call so doesn't really matter lol

Bulls / Bills / Marlins / Noles ben gordon was a guy he trusted and always passed to when he was open. those other guys are not the kind of shooters i'm talking about, they are more mid range guys. how many times did we see rose get hinrich, deng or salmons a wide open shot and those guys would pump fake then try to step in to get a better shot and end up passing up a wide open 3 for a contested 20 footer? they are not the kind of guy's rose needs. i said when he was drafted that deng and hinrich had to go and |

lol Your probably right. Vinny probably thinks he has some kind of master plan strategy. Maybe if i sit Rose the other team will get confused and fall apart lol

True, but you'd think they at least would've tried to get him to put Rose in there. However, Pax said in an interview that he talked to Vinny about it and said that he wants Rose in there from now on when the game is on the line.

I was telling all my friends that I wouldn't criticize VDN until the seasons was over, but this is to much. We get beat by the Pacers when Danny Granger isn't even playing, Devin Harris scores 40+ points on us to blow us out, and the very next game, get blown out by a very crappy Wizards team.
VDN also continues to play Gordon a bunch when he plays almost no D and takes way to many bad shots and has been acting like a me first, team second guy just so he can keep dreaming about that huge contract he thinks he will get in the off season. Sine he most likely won't be back next year(hopefully), why not cut back on his minutes and start either Hinrich, who is one of the best defenders on the team(and the team just plays overall better when he is out there), or Salmons, who can easily score just as well as Gordon and also plays better D than him.
I realize not starting Miller right away was a way to let him learn the system, but come on, start him already. He is a huge upgrade over Noah, being a better scorer and defender than him.
Sitting Rose in crunch time also dosen't help his reputation.
Flip or Avery would help this team out alot. And if we need to shell out some dough for them, then do it. Having a well respected coach, instead of a joke like VDN, will only help our chances to eventually bring in a big FA.

+2 we will see what happens at the end of the year with VDN. But if VDN starts doing even worse....the Bulls need to get rid of him. The last thing we want is a coach that is making the FA's run away.

Is it just me or has Hinrich been getting destroyed on defense by any quick guard in the NBA? Seriously his defense is a bit overated

I think im going to agree with grazzle on this one, His defense is a little bit overrated. But i think we should just keep talking him up lol Other teams might think he is some kind of defensive stopper then. But yea he does get beat alot, but that could be because he doesnt get the play time he use to...im not sure. I know its tough to just get in the game and go against a really quick guard. You have to adjust. I like Hinrich but i think its time to move him, free up some more money. One thing i have been seeing though, is that he is starting to hit his 3 ball more often again. Thats what he was known for at Kansas, being a great 3 point shooter. It has fell off the last couple years.

To be honest though, for so many years Hinrich was guarding almost exclusively 2's and slower point guards. It's true that he's not a very quick defender, but he's a smart and physical defender. When he is able to get in front of those guards he can shut them down. Also, he is to Dwyane Wade what Bill Cartwright was to Patrick Ewing.
