So I was thinking, who is the best team sport athlete currently out there? Obviously guys like Tiger Woods or Rafael Nadal don't count, and I don't want to count racing teams either. So some names to consider, Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Albert Pujols, Alex Rodriguez, Manny Ramirez, Alex Ovechkin, Sidney Crosby, Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, there's probably a lot of other guys I'm missing.

There is a lot to think about when determining who is the "best athlete."
Being a hockey fan though I have to say Ovechkin. The guy is just unreal at everything he does.

just wondering, what do u think about the whole Don Cherry/Sidney Crosby stuff against Ovechkin? Do they have a point? Is Ovechkin too excessive? I personally love it that he shows that kind of emotion but I'm not a real hockey guy, so is that kind of an unwritten rule that u don't do that kind of stuff?

I don't often agree with Don Cherry, he's an intelligent man but he's completely ignorant and is growing increasingly senile. Cherry is just being a pr*ck, there's no reason a hockey player can't celebrate his goal the way he wants.

It would make my week if the Penguins don't make the playoffs.

Tim Duncan for basketball, for football it's hard to say since players rise and fall so fast, 2 years ago I'd have said LaDanian Tomlinson though without a second thought, for Hockey I'll agree with Ovechkin although I'd like to give a shoutout to Jonathan Toews of the Blackhawks, and for baseball it's hard to say since teams are a collection of individuals, but I'll go with Albert Pujols, as much as I hate to say it.

I would have to go with Calvin Johnson on just athletic ability and Tom Brady for dominance. Albert Pujois is the best in baseball right now

Micheal Jordan and Pelé might be the best ever. Maybe Wayne Gretzy.

Oh yeah....Toews is something else.
That goal still amazes me.

I really love Toews, i really turned off the draft when the Hawks got Kane so i didnt even know who the hell that guy was.
I would pick Calvin Johnson over AP. AP is a complete beast, but Calvin Johnson may be the scariest receiver in the NFL to cover with his height, and speed, and not to mention the team he plays for is awful.

Wow I know Calvin is a beast, but nobody is giving any love to Larry Fitzgerald after the postseason he had?
