Wallace came down awkwardly on his left leg during the first quarter of Monday's 98-94 victory over Orlando. He immediately went to the bench and didn't return.

Though an MRI showed nothing serious, Wallace, who has a strained calf, was advised to sit out the two games. Coach Michael Curry said Wallace will be re-evaluated after those games and a determination will be made on whether he will be able to play this weekend.

With Wallace out, Curry elevated Jason Maxiell to the starting lineup. In the past, Amir Johnson or Kwame Brown might have started depending on the personnel matchup.
