If you are creating a brand new team and you're looking to take any infield from any team in the Majors, who are you taking?

I am taking the Texas Rangers, they have the ultimate mix of power, defense, experience, and offense needed to make a new team as good as possible.

I'm happy with the one that my team has.

It's the help my roommate and I settle a dispute, which one would you prefer out of the 5 shown?

Boston because Cano struggles last season and Jeter's offensive production doesn't make for the fact he is a liability as a SS.

I'd say either Mets or Red Sox.

throw in the catcher position as well... the most important infielder.  my dodgers look ready.

catcher russell martin- gold glove youngster, all star
1B james loney- gold glove worthy youngster... huge series at the plate vs. the cubs  Grin
SS raffy furcal- electric leadoff guy at the plate, on the basepaths, and in the field when healthy
3B casey blake- write him down for 20hr's, 80rbi, and steady play @ 3rd base

and newly acquired 2nd baseman orlando '' o-dogg " hudson- 3-time gold glove winner

see you in the playoffs cubs fans Grin

I couldn't throw in the catcher, they're technically by the book; not the infield.

true he's a part of the battery, but they do make plays away from the plate.  bunts down the line... the infield fly.  shouldn't have said the catcher is most important infielder... more like the most important player in the infield.

yeah technically this or technically that but that catcher still has to chase down fly balls down the third or first base line. catchers need to get a lil credit.

ps i fukin hate the red so and mets. i was a JD Drew fan until he went to BOS. the Braves are another one of my teams and u dont go from the braves to the sox. i lost a bit of respect for glavine wen he went to the mets. maddox & soriano lost some stripes too when they became cubs.

*** the cubs, mets & red sox

How about the Blue Jays? Lyle Overbay, Aaron Hill, John McDonald/Marco Scutaro, Scott Rolen FTW?

Lol I'm kidding, but defensively the infield isn't that bad. Offensively however...
