I also wanted to state something that been bothering me:

this years Yankee team is under there salary cap by 87 million dollars compared to last years team with the exits of:
Mike Mussina
Bobby Abreu
Jason Giambi
Carl Pavano
Andy Pettite (as of now)

and the money from those guys came off the books so it allowed the Yankees to sign:
AJ Burnett
C.C. Sabathia
Mark Texiera

and still be under from what they were this time last year
