How the hell did I forget this for so long? I've been excited about this team since last season when things really were starting to look up for them, but for some reason I've gone so long forgetting to give them their own thread!

Tough loss last night, but I didn't think they were going to sweep Calgary. It has been a very fun series to watch, tons of physical play and some obvious bad blood between the teams. And, all the games have been close.

Oh yeah, it was really getting chippy late in that last game. I know the Blackhawks will make sure to make them pay though.

I wish there were more. Seriously, with how well they've done so far and with the amazing young talent they have, including another possible rookie of the year, you'd think there'd be more fans.

vs Blackhawks and Red Wings in the Conference Finals. Bitter rivals. Original Six teams. The defending champs. The young upstarts. With a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals on the line. I'm not even a big hockey guy, and it's got me excited.

I wasn't too good at staying in hockey when the Blackhawks were doing poorly, but I at least was able to keep up with the Blackhawks and remember who the champions were.
Either way, this Blackhawks team has a chance to be a dynasty if they can keep the core of this team together, but it will be difficult with at least 3 very young stars in Toews, Kane, and Versteeg.

Can't forget Byfuglien. That guys physical play is unbelievable and he can really make a goalie mad.

Big Buff is my favorite player on the Blackhawks. Having him as a wing instead of a defenseman is very nice, especially when you consider that you have plenty of defensemen out there. Buff has done a great job at converting to the wing, and does an amazing job at filling his role.

man. I wish the detroit thread had a mod as excited about the city's sports as you mild. I offered to anmar to help Bulls/Pistons out but I guess I haven't been on here long enough, or he still thinks I have 2 accounts, idk. Anyway, I like what your doing a lot, and good luck in Game 3, if Chicago were to come back and win this series they would shock the hockey world. You guys are a great physical, defensive club, but when the Wings start buzzing around that net, they usually get in it. But seriously, you guys have been checking so hardddd. I thought Holmstrom was going to die in game 1.
