Out of curiosity, I just wanted to know how many people think that a specific player should be either traded or let go. I am assuming Derrick Rose is a lock to stay, and I doubt Joakim Noah, John Salmons or Brad Miller is going anywhere with their roles and salaries. And I don't think it would be a surprise to anyone if Tim Thomas gets dealt.
IMO, I think Tyrus Thomas is more likely to go. I'm not saying that Gordon, Hinrich, and Deng will all stay because I'm pretty sure at least one of them will be playing for another team next season. The reason I think it's Thomas is because no one really knows who the Bulls will keep out of that "Big 3". I questioned the move to trade LaMarcus Aldridge for him, and I still do to this day. Plus, his value may never be as high as it is right now unless he improves next season. Look, I don't hate the guy, I loved what he did in game 1 and I love his athleticism. But I am irritated more about his inconsistency and below-average decision making than anything.
My outlook: Tyrus Thomas will most likely be included in some sort of trade this offseason, whether it's for Bosh, West, Amare, whoever. True, BG, Deng or Kirk will be part of that deal if there is one. But Thomas seems to be a piece that has to be included for the other team to pull the trigger.
That's my opinion.

Player most likely to go next season, or player I hope is gone next season (LOL)?
But seriously, I agree that Thomas will probably be gone by next trade deadline, but I hope Luol Deng is gone. I'm not much of a Deng hater--the kid's young and could still turn out okay. I'm just not a fan of his immovable, inflated contract. Especially now that we're getting good production from Salmons for a fraction of the cost.

My guess would be Hinrich. He's a starting-caliber player on a good, front-loaded contract. He's not going to start at the 2 for us, so we're better off shipping him somewhere where he will start. That's not only best for him, but it's best for us because his value is back up to being pretty high. There aren't many guys in the league with elite-level defense that can play three positions. I would imagine that the Bulls will field many offers for him after they attempt to resign BG.
My gut, at the moment, is telling me that BG will be resigned to a decent contract. My thinking is somewhere in the 8-9 million per year range that will most likely not be front-loaded and contain incentives. However, I also think that BG will probably be our sixth man next season - and should be the favorite to win the sixth man of the year award again (should he stay with us, that is). Granted, this is contingent on Salmons and Deng staying with the Bulls. But I think that's pretty likely to happen.
I do think a Hinrich/Thomas package will probably be what the Bulls will use to lure a quality power forward to the team (once again, assuming we resign Gordon). But if that doesn't happen, I still believe that Kirk is the most likely to go - for better or for worse. I could be totally off, though. It really depends on what kind of contract BG is looking for and how much we're willing to give up for an upgrade at the 4.

I voted for Kirk Hinrich....Like Greenwing, im pretty convinced that the Bulls are looking to move Kirk so they can re-sign BG. This trade deadline they did just that....they were about to trade him and his contract to Minnesota for a bunch of nobodys. Package him with Tyrus and get yourself a PF.

Hinrich also seems to have created interest. Portland at the very least has expresses interest in acquiring him.
I say Hinrich ends up being traded though I agree Deng should be the one to go.

No surprise, Tyrus. You can always find someone who wants potential and athletism and in the current situation some team wanting to cut payroll.
Gordon is next likely to go because I think he wants out. I think he looks at his scoring average and feels teams will want him, but more so he had two chances to sign here, said NO, the Bulls supposedly pulled an offer last year and he just figures he's never going to be apreciated enough here so it's a good time to leave.
Deng some for his contract but more for his injuries, his slow recovery time and the thing I hate most his inability to finish strong at the basket I would move him. Doesn't seem likely for the first two reasons. It's just my opinion that a team like Toronto that isn't a big draw for FAs would take him and his long deal because they can't attract big FAs.
Knowing how much Paxson and Reinsdorf like Hinrich I can see him staying and if they sign and trade Gordon and with or without Deng, Kirk makes sense. If Salmon starts at the 2 obviously Kirk can back up him and Rose but if Salmons takes the back up minutes at the 3 Hinrich can play the 2. So in essence Kirk can back up two positions, this allows the Bulls to have a developing player at the 2 and 3 without forcing them into the lineup on a playoff team and they can move up when Salmons leaves as a FA and if they eventually trade Kirk.

Kinda torn on this one.
Ben Gordon= Is most likely to walk for money.
Tyrus Thomas= Is most likely to be traded.

i'm about 75% sure gordon is gone..he's not going to sign for 7, 8, 9, or 10 mil a year, he's shown us that already. if we want him it's going to have to be closer to deng's number, and he's just not worth it, especially since we already have deng eating up that much money.
