If we draft Mullin, what do we do to help him develope? Who is the best bigman coach we can get to teach him? Do we send him to the D-league or get limited minutes but playing against real NBA players on the Bulls bench? Would playing with B-Miller help him?

Those are all good questions....I wouldnt mind keeping in the D-League for a little bit so he gets a lot of playing time, but he could depending on how he plays stay in the league and help us out for 10-12 minutes possibly. The Bulls only had about a 7 man rotation in the late season and playoffs, im sure we could find some time for him if we needed too. Other then that, Bulls could use a good bigman coach, someone that actually was successful at the NBA level or knows what he is doing. I havent seen growth from Noah at all during his 2 years. Tyrus is starting to come around, but most of his game is on the perimeter. And lastly, B. Miller could deffinetly help him....i actaully had a scenario where Miller would play the 4 or 5 and Mullens would play opposite of him. Those 2 could play together at the end of quarters or so and we would have to 7 footers out there....Miller could stand at the elbow while Mullens plays in the paint. High low action with those 2.

Just RUmors?!?!?!?!

B.J. Mullens worked out for the Philadelphia 76ers (#17) on Sunday, and is scheduled to work out for Chicago (#16) on Tuesday. While many NBA teams we spoke with have picked up on the rumor that he may have a promise from Detroit at 15, things don’t really seem to add up here. If anything, the Pistons seem to be most interested in Earl Clark, and have reportedly told him as much, as have the Phoenix Suns, drafting 14th. On the other hand, Detroit continues to be very active in trade-talk, though, and could very well decide to move the pick, which would make all of this moot. Would Mullens really turn down his Green Room invite if he definitely knew he was going 15th? Clark on the other hand just passed up a workout with Chicago this week in order to be with his newborn baby, as he seems to be feeling very good about where’s currently at in this draft.

Another possible problem is, what if the team that trades for detroits pick wants Mullin, or if some other team trades up to 12, 13, or 14 wants Mullin. Any team that needs or wants a bigman, after Thabeet is drafted, has little or no options other than Mullins, and could try to make a move up. #11 appears to be safe enough to get Mullins, so if the Bulls really want Mullin, do they gamble on hopeing he falls to 16? Or do you combine 16+26=11 to go get the player you want? Again 26 may only get you a backup.

Bulls can always trade James expiring and both picks to Indiana. Remember, Pacers can benefit from this, all they have to do is give Bulls Tinsley and 13th pick for James and our 16th and 26th pick.

that is horrible.  Get Tinsley away from Chicago.

Yea i dont want Tinsley....but if you package the 26th you wont have to pay the guy and then you could go make that Portland trade.

Rose,Blake
Salmons,BG
Deng, Outlaw
Thomas,Jeff Adrien
Noah,Miller,Mullens

That roster is a top 4 team in the East imo, plus your looking great for 2010.

Outlaw would play the 4 instead of Adrien.  I just don't see Ben Gordon happy with that lineup unless he is content in play 20-24 minutes.

Outlaw can play the 4? Yea i didnt know that, but in that case you could grab a SF in the 2nd round. Sam Young might drop there or Danny Green...theres others also.

yeah he can play it... off the bench for XX amount of minutes vs smaller teams, he shouldn't be there for too long though... Outlaw is nice but it'd probably just end up being a 1 year rental cuz they aren't gonna wanna resign him

ben gordon was a guy he trusted and always passed to when he was open.  those other guys are not the kind of shooters i'm talking about, they are more mid range guys.  how many times did we see rose get hinrich, deng or salmons a wide open shot and those guys would pump fake then try to step in to get a better shot and end up passing up a wide open 3 for a contested 20 footer? they are not the kind of guy's rose needs.  i said when he was drafted that deng and hinrich had to go and

Having Brad Miller would be perfect for his development. Miller is one of the most skilled big men in the league right now (Duncan being the only one that's more fundamental and skilled). Bulls wouldn't even need a big man coach with Miller there. However, sending him to the d-league isn't out of the question as well, in order to get him actual playing time. How much time he spends there would be the question though. He'll also need to spend some time playing against actual NBA talent in order to really develop.

Think I actually answered everything with that, let me know if there's anything I missed.

Thank you for the salaries, I agree B-Miller is very skilled at the high post but can he teach someone else what he knows? Also can he teach someone low post moves (hooks, bump and fade away, spin moves, ect..)? Will he be willing to spend a lot of time working with BJ? I'm not saying he doesn't know that stuff, I'm asking if he has worked with any other young bigmen and how they turned out? If not who is the best bigman coach not still playing that could spend a lot of time with him?
